We absolutely LOVED our time at the BeachPlace Towers. Our room was beautiful. We had a view of the inter-coastal that was stunning. The room was huge and fit 4 adults comfortably. The hotel was very clean and even the pull out couch was comfy! We enjoyed the wine part at the pool a lot! My only minor complaint was that you had to sign up for slots at the pool and they were always taken. A hidden gem is the 19th floor that has an outdoor patio with stunning view of the ocean and beautiful sunrises. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance to every place we wanted to be. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Get a room on the inter-coastal. The sunsets are stunning. Then get up to the 19th floor to see...

Having read multiple negative reviews prior to arriving to the Marriot Beach Place Towers mine and my familes (family of 4) expectations were threatened. We heard about the horrible elevators the hassel the pool was, blah blah blah. They went on and on. We arrived in the thick of spring break. During the curfews set up on Miami South Beach. So it really couldn't be much busier in Fort Lauderdale either. All I can say is we have had a wonder time. The few minutes we have waited for an elevator is no different than any other property with 25 floors. The hotel has 1-19 but there 5 parking levels below it. We are on vacation and it pays to have some patience. The pool is tough to get a reservation from 10:30-1:30 however if you get up early and send a txt before 7 you'll be OK. If you don't like getting up, then just show up at 3:30, by that time those with reservations from 2-5 half have left and no one is monitoring how many are on pool deck because it's not an issue. And if you are going to complain about no sun after 3, grow up, its a beautiful location and much warmer in the shade then where your traveled from. The beach a short walk across the street with many easy cross walks and slow traffic was easy to get to. And was Big and beautiful with warm clear water so if you have to have sun but can't wake up early go there. One of the things we enjoyed most about the property was the proximity to restaurants in the evening. We typically eat twice a day in our condo or bring a lunch from it as we are busy doing activities then go out for an evening dinner. The restaurants near by are fantastic requiring no driving and only short walking. Just below in the "mall" there are over 7 choices to eat from. Can't recommended the blackened fish tacos from Lulu's enough. Lastly the room was beautiful we were in a 2 bedroom Lock off condo our 2 kids had the studio my wife and and I had the large 1 bedroom. Plenty of room for a family of 4 to feel right at home. 2 balconies 1 full kitchen 1 kitchenette, 2 full bath with one large jacuzzi tub. Granite counter tops and everything we need to cook, except for salt and pepper (I assume due to covid). I highly recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future. Our only complaint was the traffic on Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, but that is none of the hotels fault. And the increased security present at the hotel and by the police on the beach felt us feel safe and welcomed. Thanks for a great time Marriot.

I’m glad we didn’t listen to the negative reviews regarding this resort. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit for my family of 6. It was very spacious and comfortable. The Resort is located in the popular Central Beach area with the ocean just steps away. The parking costs $15 per day with tax, but I didn’t mind paying. Here’s the thing about the parking ramp...It is located directly under the resort. Floors 1-3 have public parking (which is much more expensive than the $15 per day). When you arrive at the resort and enter the parking garage you take a ticket. As you follow the signs for the Marriott Beach Club in the parking ramp, you arrive at another gate on the 4th floor specifically for the resort in which you scan your ticket for entry. Marriott parking is on the 4th/5th floors. Take the elevator to the lobby for check in and then you may use your room key during the rest of your stay to enter and exit the parking ramp. We only experienced a long wait trying to exit the parking ramp at 6pm on a Saturday when we got stuck in traffic waiting for the people who parked in the ramp for a day at the beach were leaving. There are only 4 elevators but they are fast. Sometimes we did wait 5 or 10 minutes to get on but that’s because we have a family of 6 and didn’t want to crowd people out. We did get on the elevator with other people, but everyone was wearing a mask. You can make reservations for the pool beginning at 7am the day before you want to go. It would probably be best to make the reservation at 6:30am. The time slots fill up quickly. You text a phone number and include your name, room number and desired time. They will text you back to let you know if you got the time slot. 7am-10am, 10:30am-1:30pm or 2pm-5pm. You only get 3 hours but that’s plenty of time. When you get off the elevator to go to the beach, there is some live entertainment, shops and restaurants. The beach is a quick walk from the Resort. There is a lot to do on the strip. The beach area is really nice. I would highly recommend this resort. Like most Marriotts, it is clean and updated. We were on the 4th floor and had an Ocean Front room. There are 19 floors, but maybe being on a lower floor was better in regards to the elevators. We didn’t have far to go so we didn’t get stopped much. We still had an excellent view. We drove to Miami for a boat cruise one day. It was only 30 miles away and was really fun. I liked seeing Miami, but I like the Ft. Lauderdale area better to stay for a week.

The rules that this hotel has put in place really do go over the top and hinder you from having a good time. You have to book a pool time and if you are not there in the first 30 minutes you lose the time. They only allow one person in the elevator at a time, and have closed all amenities, there is no house keeping, and are mask crazy despite their being no mask rules in Florida. They keep multiple police officers in the lobby which is not only over kill but is also rather uncomfortable. From what I’m told about other hotels, no other ones go to this length with covid. While i appreciate some rules this just goes over the top.

This is by far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. My family and I have been Marriott Bonvoy members for years, so I have been going to properties forever. We always have a very pleasant experience at their hotels, hence why we always come back. This particular property is unlike any I have ever visited. We came during spring break time, march 1-7, and many amenities were closed. We were understanding of this, due to covid and trying to keep the virus at bay. However, immediately we were treated with extremely poor service upon checking in. The staff were extremely rude and very condescending due to our age, as we were four 20 year olds. I don't think being young justifies being treated like scum, especially when we are paying $2,000 for 5 nights. Ridiculous. We were extremely respectful guests and caused no problems or damage, unlike other guests who were extremely loud and problematic. They acted as though it was a major burden to bring up clean towels whenever we called. We called three times during the six days, which I believe is understandable when there's 4 people. If you have read any other reviews, you would know that in order to sit by or swim in the pool, you must make a reservation 24 hours in advance and are only allotted a 3 hour time slot. This was bothersome because there were about 8 people at the pool deck during the day. Another major issue with this hotel is that we had called to ask to check out a day early and they had told us over the phone that it was perfectly fine and we would get refunded as long as we checked out by 10am. We had called the following morning to once more say we were checking out and told them we had evacuated the room at 9:30am. The next day we were charged for the following night, even though they had said we would be refunded. When we told them that we had made sure it was okay, the began providing excuses and said that we could not be refunded. We are still trying to resolve this issue. Also, they had charged us for our stay two times and tried to say that we hadn't paid. However we had to show them the charges, in order for them to admit they they had double charged us. Horrible service and overall a poor hotel. Oh! And don't even get me started on the elevators!!! Shame on this Marriott property. Tarnishes the Marriott name and needs something done about it.
