Had an awesome stay at Ocean Manor, which is a great beachfront property that gives all the Fort Lauderdale vibes. Rafael was fantastic with his service and attentiveness. Even when he was off, he made sure we were taken care of! Will be back to stay in the future!
The resort location is awesome and so are the amenities but the rooms desperately need updated. The room was clean but all the outlets and appliances are very old. The bathroom is so tiny. The beds are awful. They make you use the valet for 10$ a day but they only have 1 person working so waiting is crazy when they get busy during check out and In. The tiki bar and pool area are great to have onsite. I probably will stay again I will just make sure for what I paid for the room that it’s updated and everything works.
This was my second stay at OM, staff was very accommodating and attentive. Nice beach area with rental chairs and towels provided. I lived in Ft Lauderdale for a long time and it was nostalgic to revisit the tiki bar which was bustling! This was first visit to Casa Calabria and proved to be a treat. The gnocchi was amazing as well as the calamari appetizer and meatballs. Nice environment with live music was a great dinner experience. I will definately be back!
Okay. We are actually here right now. Brought four teens down from Minnesota to do distance learning with a view. Our AirBnB is actually lovely. Remodeled, clean, and nicely furnished. The building and property itself? Sketchy. Dirty windows and doors, lots of drinking and smoking, our hall smells like weed, and the beach is unkempt. One kiddo said it best, "feels like we're extras in a mafia movie". It's creepy.
We stayed here with several families and each of us needed to request a different room from our original room due to the problems in the room. Our initial room did not have a lock that worked on the door. We informed the front desk and they said it was an easy fix but we requested to be relocated. The lock was never fixed during our four night stay as we checked periodically. We experienced the following issues in our second room during our stay, curtains broken, shower curtain falling down, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, holes in walls, blinds held up by duck tape, leaking toilets, and a broken bed. The front doors of the hotel also broke while we were there so you had to enter through side door the last two days there. Rooms were furnished with old mix matched furniture. Our room did not have a chair or table in it while our friends had a chair placed in their room on the third day. Each room also had different tv setups. Our room had a smart tv with no cable, so in order to watch tv you needed to sign into your Netflix or other accounts, where our friends room had Xfinity. The halls had the strong smell of marijuana. Recognized that it was the staff were the ones smoking it after witnessing maids on balconies smoking while cleaning rooms. I walked by employee getting off service elevator and the smell was so strong from the elevator you get get a contact buzz. Noticed that every employee you walked by in the halls smelled like marijuana. I noticed the smell penetrated my face mask days later when it still smelled like marijuana days after I left the hotel. The front desk and maintenance service were non existent. I requested additional toilet paper at 7:30 am from the front desk and was told no one would be in until 11am to give us any. We called maintenance to report a leaking toilet and they told us no one would be in until 11am to look at it.…
