we stayed here because when just got back from key west and getting our flight next day. It was OK around the pool, but the room....NOT SO MUCH. it needs updates and a good scrubbing. I would not go back again.
Not a Ramada property, spent about an hour trying to figure out how to reserve. Called Ramada and they were like we don’t have a hotel at that address. Looked at Google street view and there’s a Ramada sign. Sure would mike to know if there is an operational hotel there as we are coming up from Key West for a concert at the Culture Room and this place is in walking distance.
Hotel was ok little dirty and the room was ghetto the pool was ok the bar was not to bad. Was just there for one night if i had choice I would have not stay there but was the only hotel with a room at the time that was close to party I was attending.
Hello my name is Khan Hosey and Im on Facebook as Khan Hosey Sr. I blocked off 30 rooms for my Real Talk Family & Friends Cruise on May 25, 2019. I blocked these rooms off July 2018. Myself and my clients has been calling this hotel for almost 6 months with no answer. I read reviews today telling me that this hotel is closed. Are they gonna still charge me for not being able to cancel my rooms because of this. I just found out today that this hotel is closed down.
We booked this hotel 12/21/18 to attend a concert at the Culture Room which is right next to this Ramada. We saw a few bad posts and closer to our event which was on April 17th we tried to reach the hotel and kept getting the answering machine. So we called Ramada's 1-800 number. On April 15th 2 days before we were going to drive from Fort Myers to Fort Lauderdale we were told by the Ramada that our reservations were indeed confirmed and gave us an additional confirmation # to use and told us we were all set. I mentioned calling the hotel directly and only getting an answering machine and she said that is common when they are busy and that the hotel is actually booked for the week with the upcoming holiday. So weren't we shocked when we arrived to the Ramada at Oakland Park to be greeted by a very nice security guard who informed us that the hotel was closed and that it had BEEN CLOSED SINCE FEBRUARY!!!! So not only did the hotel itself not reach out to us (they had our email because they sent us the confirmation by email) and Ramada's corporate office apparently lied to us 2 days earlier. So I call the Ramada 800 number to complain and thank you Cody for getting a manager and instead transferring me to Wyndham so they could try to sell me something. Do you think I want to buy anything? What I needed was an apology and for someone to get me another hotel. I didn't get to speak to a manager I didn't get to attend the concert because we had no place to go afterwards. So we drove home - we spent 7 hours on the road going to no event staying at no hotel. But we have made this decision - we will never stay at a Ramada or a Wyndam owned property ever again. And I'm writing this post so hopefully other people won't think this place is still open and a viable place to stay.…
