We stayed just one overnight, and flew out early the next morning. We have stayed at quite a few Hampton Inn. I had requested a handicap accessible room. The room was accessible, however the tub/shower only had handle bars, and no shower seat. That was inconvenient. Also, the fire alarm was activated (no clear reason why, it was about 830 pm) The fire alarm was so incredibly loud it physically hurt my ear drums. Our stay here was ok, but I don't think we will visit again
This review is very late in posting but wanted to share our review of the Hampton Inn. We have stayed here before and after all of cruises leaving from FLL. We have always had a wonderful experience staying here. We actually had a situation where we were on another vacation other than a cruise and we had a 12 hour layover in FLL. They GRACIOUSLY let us store our luggage there while we hung out at the Wisconsin bar/restaurant across the street till we had to get to the airport. Nothing but good things about the FLL team at the Hampton Inn Airport North! Thanks to everyone there!
I absolutely love how the managers and staff care for their guests. I have never been treated so well by a hotel! They truly want their guests to be happy! I was impressed with how quickly they rectified any issue, which was almost none! They want to make sure you have the best stay! This is why I will continue to come back!
Please stay away from this property... although I must say the staff is nice and friendly, unfortunately the room I stayed in was absolutely infested with bed bugs and as you can se big and small. If this is what is visible to the eye I can’t imagine what i cannot see. My room was free for the night that I stayed however this is a huge inconvenience as I needed to stay for several more days. I was also told that IF the room test came back positive for bed bugs only then would they file an insurance claim as if the bites and pictures/videos I have weren’t enough. The manager on duty also was not able to come up to my room to evaluate the situation as they were busy which leaves me feeling confident that this will not be address and taken care of properly.
I hate to write negative reviews, but this hotel was gross. We booked two rooms using our Hilton points, we stay at a lot of Hilton properties and expected this one to be like the rest, it was not. I will say the staff was friendly and check in was easy. We were given two rooms on the first floor. One of the rooms we couldn't get the key to work so we had to get a new one. That is the same room that we had the most issues with. It said it was clean (even had a sticker on the door), but there was something brown smeared inside the bathroom door (use your imagination) and everything just looked grubby. The worst was my son sat in the chair in the room and there was a CRACK PIPE in the crease!! How horrible is that! Imagine if it was a needle! We grabbed our bags and asked for a room change, the front desk did not seem surprised at all that there was drug paraphernalia (although she was very appologetic). Our next room was on the second floor and wreaked of old food. We were tired and had to get up for a flight so we stayed in it (but it was gross). The showers in both rooms had someones hair in them and the floors were quite dirty! We stay in a lot of Hilton properties and this was such a horrible experience!…
