Eric had a very nasty attitude and poor customer service! He doesn't know how to communicate with guest effectively and he is very confrontation! I believe he was bias based on racial stereotyping and stigmas.

My family and I recently stayed at this property....the MOD was Eric, he is the absolute worst person to have on anyone’s staff. He lacks customer service, he’s very rude , he has no professional etiquettes AT ALL!!! He’s a scammer, very discriminatory and he displayed a racial demeanor. He made this trip absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I travel a lot , all over the US and many other countries, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It’s a shared property with other buildings and I will say that the staff is nothing like the MOD. ERIC GIVES THIS HOTEL A VERY BAD IMAGE!! We booked a total of 13 rooms, all individually paid for and secured with the guest personal credit cards. After checking out with a $0 balance for my rooms, I get a call from Eric telling me that he’s is charging my card $250 for a room that was not mine, until he received payment from the guest that he spoke with about the charge . I never authorized any additional payments on my card, and for Eric to have the audacity to tell me that he is going to charge my card and knowingly commit a fraudulent charge is unlawful, and a criminal charge. Eric NEEDS TO BE FIRED!! I’m a business owner and would never exhibit Thais behavior with customers.

When we arrived it was a quick check in we spent most of our day at the beach. the hotel actually has a shuttle that takes you over to the beach and pick you up I believe it was every hour when we went we only had one day to stay there because we originally stayed in Miami which is a whole another review you have to check out. Once we got to this hotel and made up for everything else that we had been through. great job to the hotel staff and when we're ever in fort Lauderdale again we will be sure to stay with you guys I don't really have pictures because again we stayed at the beach most of the time and then it stormed so we ended up checking out and headed home.

I had a profoundly horrible experience with the manager, Eric, at Ocean Beach Palace and I wanted to share because I would never want anyone else to be treated like this. Honestly, its not worth the price to be put in such a horrifying experience. I had booked the honeymoon suite for two nights (March 17-19) for my anniversary. Upon arriving around 5:30p, we checked into our room and it was obvious that although the bed sheets had been changed, housekeeping had made no further effort to clean the room. My wife ended up using her sanitizing wipes to clean down surfaces that appeared to have food on them still. We went to discuss with the individual at the counter and asked if someone could clean our room while we went to dinner. This man apologized but there was no housekeeper at staff because they were understaffed. He then wrote a note and assured us that housekeeping would visit our room right when they arrived at noon. Therefore, my wife and I planned to be out of our room at noon. Upon arriving back to our room around 3pm, no one had been in our room. When I went to discuss what had happened with the front desk, they stated that housekeeping hadn't been to our room and no one had delivered the message to them. At this point, we debated whether driving 4 hours back to St Petersburg where we are from or finding another hotel because after being gone all day, we just wanted to relax in our room that we were reassured we would be able to. When we called to speak to the manager on staff, Eric, he was incredibly disrespectful towards us and stated that it was our opinion that the room wasn't clean and definitely was not a fact. He said that our room wasn't cleaned because it wasn't a priority for them and that their focus was cleaning the rooms that guests would be checking into that day. He basically said he didn't care about our room being cleaned because we had already paid and he wanted to make sure other rooms were cleaned for new customers, which sounds like a scam. He said if we were so unhappy we should've checked out before 11am and he would have refunded us. We reiterated that we were reassured that our room would be cleaned for us which was the only reason we stayed. We are tolerable people and understood the hotel is very short staffed and although we slept in a dirty room one night, we were allowing his staff to clean the room so it wouldn't happen a second night. This entire experience has made us sick and anxious about staying in hotels. We are more than happy to share our booking.com travel history with you because we have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never given a bad review or had such a debilitatingly horrifying experience. The way that this manager is allowed to treat customers is so inappropriate. We were asking for him to help us have an enjoyable time at this hotel and instead he made us fearful to be around the hotel or ever return.

Dear Mr. Otero, Thank you for reaching out and writing a review on your experience, we understand some things might not happen as expected and guest may feel frustrated about some situations. The room was cleaned and sanitized, inspected by our housekeeping supervisor and made available to you. When I called you I was very respectful to you and your wife and took the time to explain why the service you requested was not possible to do at noon, but instead was reprogramed to 3PM, you decided to check out in the afternoon even after our front desk staff explained the night would be charged. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Best regards, Erick G. Manager

Pictures online inaccurate, loud AC unit(can't hear the TV when it's running). Only 1 ice machine for the whole building. Cleaning missteps ( food left in fridge from previous customers). The whole place needs a makeover or just a wrecking ball.
