We stayed at the harbour hotel on the 14-15 August. The hotel is lovely and clean with nice big bedrooms. Mary and her staff made us so welcome. Mary is such an elegant lady with endless energy. Any request we had was dealt with quickly and with a smile. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant followed by a fancy cocktail. We even stayed an extra night. Thank you again for such a memorable stay. We can't wait to come back.
Went here with my mum for the night. We arrived on a sunny September Sunday the weather was unreal. The hotel is lovely and situated beside the pier. The hotel was busy which was great. Patricia was handing over the hotel to the new owner Mary who was a joy to deal with. The rooms are clean and the food was delicious our breakfast was plentiful and not at all rushed. It was so relaxing I could have stayed there all day the view from the dining groom was stunning. If I was a single person travelling I wouldn't feel out of place here as I noticed many ppl on their own. We did the lighthouse side on the Sunday and then headed the other side on the Monday. The island is so safe as a female I would definitely venture out on my own. Its a joy to have an island like this so near to home. Wishing Mary all the very best with the hotel I hope to be back in the Spring or when the sea is a little calmer.…
We spent there one night during our little trip in the north of donegal, and it was an outstanding, unique and wonderful experience. We felt in love with this remote gem of an island. The Hotel is well worth to stay, with our host mary and the rest of the staff we were more than happy. Slept like babies to the sound of the waves, gorgeous food, fantastic breakfast, great company. It was hard to leave the other day. Ireland at its best.
We had a lovely time in this cute little hotel on Tory which is a sanctuary of serenity! The food was great and everyone was very friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed sitting by the fire in the hotel bar and learning about the island from the all the locals!
It's something of a undiscovered Donegal secret, but I first came to Tory Island about 10 years ago, and stayed overnight at this the only, small hotel on the island. Been 4 times since. It's a charming place, both the hotel and the island. The island which is about 10 miles off the coast of Donegal and only 3 miles long and about a mile wide doesn't take long to get around so 2-days is probably all you need. And this hotel is the perfect base! Mary, thenew manager of about a month ago is really doing the place proud. Rooms are clean and fresh, the food is great, the service welcoming and prompt, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and laid-back. Just like Tory!! As the pandemic means more Irish are 'staycation'-ing this year it is getting increasingly busy, so you definitely need to book. Took me two goes together room but it's definitely worth it. Definitely, definitely coming back. Thanks to Mary and the Tory hotel team for making a great getaway. Highly recommended.…
