This was my 3rd year in a row staying at the hotel as part of an annual family holiday to Donegal. Instantly recognised by the reception team and welcomed back again to the island. For an island of only 150 residents the facilities and food are great after making the ferry

If you want to sleep when you retire to your room probably best to keep to a day trip or book alternative accommodation. The noise from the bar carries through to the rooms. There doesn't seem to be any soundproofing. Hotel appear to have little concern as this is how they

Response from DonegalDamo, Director of Sales at Harbour View Hotel
Responded 4 Sep 2018
Thank you for your review, I am very disappointed by your comments, firstly I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the meeting in our hotel was not about any Island politics and you yourself mentioned to Hotel management that you knew all about what was going on , on the island to which no response was given by one of the Hotel managers. We did offer you an alternative area to store your luggage at this time the rooms were also available for you. Patricia (Hotel Owner) did offer your partner the use of their shower facilities in their home which was just a couple of doors down from the hotel, and your partner did avail of this offer. We did explain to you that due to a mechanical failure this resulted in a temporary shortage of hot water which was out of our control, and we also explained to you that the hotel was a small hotel on an Island and the hot water would be available shortly. As your group all came back from a walk at the same time and all started taking showers and baths this resulted in the shortage of hot water due to our mechanical fault. We will not be commenting on other businesses on the Island and the Hotel management did everything possible to accommodate your partners needs and if you would like to discuss this further then please contact me directly by telephone.

How much is the ferry to the Island?
Return fare is €26 per adult. There is no cost for senior citizens with a valid travel pass and if the senior citizen is entitled to have a companion travel with them then the travel companion will not be charged either. Just be sure to show your travel permit to the lady in the ferry office when you purchase your ticket. There is also a reduction for students (not too sure how much though).

Does the hotel's dog still swim with the dolphin ??
Unfortunately the dolphin is not longer in Tory and the hotel is now under new ownership. I have just learned that a new dolphin has arrived within the last week.

"ask for a seaview"
"Any room is nice but I think I'd like the first floor, having said that ours was perfect on the ground floor."
