We booked this beautiful bed and breakfast in july 2016 and were impressed by its quality. The two owners are very helpful and knows alot about the region. The house is victorian style with its beautiful woodwork and original clear glass. The rooms were spacious and clean. Good homemade breakfast.

I've worked in the hospitality industry for 11 years (at a B&B no less) but have never experienced a Bed and Breakfast from the other side. What a feeling! We were welcomed with open arms. We had visited the Veranda 3 years ago when my partner and I wound up in Port Elgin with car trouble. Thinking we might be... More

From the moment I spotted this elegant home driving down the road, I knew it was a wonderful place. But I could not imagine what was in store for me and Imagine my utter delight when I knew this was where I would be staying. Driving up the driveway totally enthralled with its elegance was nothing compared to my reaction... More

Next to immaculate old Victorian home beside the river. Very nicely decorated and very clean. Very friendly hostess and a great hot breakfast in the dining room. Highly recommended! Very nice restaurant just down the road.

Our 1 night stay here was a real delight. As we were the only guests (it was early in the season), Linda, the owner, gave us free run of the house which (as the name suggests) is a gloriously elegant Victorian villa. We therefore spent the evening in the lovely, peaceful lounge. There are no TV'S in the house which,... More

Let's be frank - Port Elgin is hardly the most exciting place in the Maritimes. We chose it strictly because at the end of our trip through the Maritimes, it was the closest point to the Confederation Bridge and our flight home from Charlottetown. The Victorian Veranda turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. -- a... More

We stayed for a night in September 2014. It was wonderful. Had a tour around the house by our great host. Also ate at the pub. Great menu. The house and grounds are very well maintained . The view of the tidal river that flows by the house is good. You are just a short walk from the pub. Breakfast... More
