You wouldn't think you'd get an excellent meal in this out of the way spot, but we had a delicious dinner there! Our server, Katie was gracious and efficient. We loved the Old Florida vibe and the place is so interesting with all the lovely polished wood and fun taxidermy animals....highly recomended !

We stop here yearly on our way to the Everglades. The restaurant has lovely artifacts and an interesting history. We sat out on the large balcony overlooking the water. We had shrimp baskets with fries and Cole slaw. It's a little pricey but good. The key lime pie is not to be missed.

Had a great fish sandwich at the Rod and Gun Club. I don't eat many fish sandwiches, but this was one of the best ones I have had. Fish heavy menu. Accommodated my moms shell fish allergy. Server was a friendly and quirky local. Really old place with lots of cool antiques. Lots of stuffed animals looking at you.

We were intrigued to try this place representing old Florida. The club house is all varnished wood and filled with extraordinary memorabilia. We had the little cottage right next to the water. It was small, tidy and absolutely quiet. Great night's sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everglade City is green, peaceful and moves at an easy pace.

We joined friends here who engineered a low expectation, but we had a excellent visit and a decent lunch on a sunny pool-side screened patio. A visit to this historic venue is worth a mediocre lunch. The club is stuffed with historical memorabilia and curiosities - bring a flashlight to illuminate the dark wood-panelled corners. We'd like to give a...

Arrived and were greeted by friendly staff. Katie was our server. One of the most beautiful historic sites I've seen in the US. I loved this place and will do what I can to put light on the place and the beautiful people who are trying to keep this gem alive.

This is an easily accessed restaurant in the middle of Everglades City. We sat on the porch and had a lovely view of the boats and canal. The food was average, but not bad if you like fried seafood. I had the broiled seafood platter with frog legs, scallops, shrimp and a white fish. It was pretty good. We had...

I was a part of a group event centered at The Rod n Gun Club, though we were there "Out of Season", the staff was fun courteous, and helpful. This is a charming lodge of bungalows awesome for the fishing and hunting crowd. I would love to own it, give it a facelift, but keep the staff. I will go...

My family visits Everglades City each year. Having lunch at The Rod and Gun Club's restaurant after a morning fishing/nature expedition is our family tradition. Walking inside is like stepping back a century in time. You're surrounded by antique dark wood -- thick moldings/woodwork, wood floors, wood bannisters, bead board, knotty pine, etc. We like the fried grouper sandwich, but...

Visiting friends on Marco Island who took us to visit Everglades City. Said we "had" to stop at the Rod and Gun Club. They high standards though I was not sure what to expect looking at the outside of the building. I was completely blown away by what we saw on the inside. We were simply amazed once we walked...
