This 'resort' is located in an absolutely beautiful location in the Jebel Shams mountains. The so-called Grand Canyon is within walking distance as are several great hiking trails. The views are AMAZING. The 'resort' itself is very basic but considering the location is better than I expected. The sunset room was very comfortable. Everything worked including electricity, hot water and...

Simple hotel but clean, in a great location, with an amazing view. Nice staff. We stayed in a chalet, which are quite big, but very simple. Perfect for enjoying outside. Good value hotel, who propose half board stay. Possible to have your own fire camp, with wood you can buy at the hotel. Food at dinner is simple but good.

We stayed one night in bungalows. We were disappointed when we arrived as Bungalows are not well maintained or cleaned. Windows are not clean...floor was not clean. We were all the more disappointed that the room was quite expensive. Buffet was nice. This place is a nice camp but no need to spend to much on a bungalow. rather take...

I stayed one night in a sunrise chalet room. The room is basic but clean and roomy. Wifi is no good and I wasn't able to get data on my cell phone - so, relax and enjoy the views! The sunrise/sunset view from my room was incredible and this is one of the most beautiful regions of Oman. Good dinner...

I stayed for 1 night in a twin room. The amenities were basic, the room was comfortable with the heater providing just enough to warm us. Buffet-style breakfast and dinner were provided for. Wifi is free but the connection is understandably poor so you can only go online from the reception office where the signal is strongest. You can catch...

This definitely isn't a resort, the wifi is complete useless, there is no shower curtain and the electric heater won't warm up your room. Despite that, we loved it here. Staff is very friendly. And best of all, it is only a ten minutes walk to the canyon. Great to watch the sunset and the changing colors of the mountains....

Friendly staff and promising site and cottages. Yet, below average due to mediocre buffet dinner (odd mix of different food styles, hardly any Omani food, no specific veggie options either) and poor bath room (see picture). For this price one also expects working Internet and bikes that can actually be used. You may want to consider staying in Nizwa, instead,...

What an amazing property in the heart of such natural beauty. I had the pleasure of a two night stay in December 2015. I went with the Arabic tent which really enhanced my jebel shams experience. It was quite cozy and fun. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was very nice, high calorie and protein foods to get...

We went there upon recommendation from a friend from Abu Dhabi. Wonderful mountains. The resort is not luxurious but offers all you need. Recommend thinking about the reaping the benefit of making a fire and getting something nice for a barbecue. Next time, I would definitely try one of the arabic tents.
