The beach club and location make this a great spot. It’s not for you if you want cookie cutter, new, or modern. It is a really interesting historic hotel that is showing its age but that’s what makes it unique. Hard wood floors and an furniture from grandmas complete the historic feel. We enjoyed just sitting and people watching on the patio with drinks from the bar. Service from all employees was great. Breakfast was coffee and a muffin but plenty of places a quick walk away. The beach club was terrific! Driving there was just a few minutes (no shuttle now) and parking no problem. The service setting up the umbrella and moving chairs was great. Pool lovely and lunch not bad but slow. You can walk to everywhere from this prime spot.

We have stayed at the Colony many times over the years when we visit our family. We love the character of the hotel. We get good rates and it is immaculate. The bar serves inexpensive drinks with friendly service from George who also serves at the beach club. The beach club is absolutely gorgeous and the people there are so kind, we were thrilled to find out that although we had to check out at 11 from the hotel we were welcome to use the facility. They have showers with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel readily available in order to change before flying home. We will return.

We spent two nights at the Colony Hotel. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. The bed in our room was small - full size not queen - and uncomfortable. The window a/c unit was a bit loud. But there are two things that make the hotel worthwhile. First, the location is great - right in the middle of the main strip. Second, if you plan on going to the beach, the cabana club more than makes up for the hotel's shortcomings. It's right on the beach and has everything you need to spend a great day at the beach. They have shelters on the beach with chairs, towels, etc. They served lunch that was very tasty and there are nice clean bathrooms and a large pool to swim in. Even though I did not enjoy the room, if I go back to Delray Beach I will stay at the Colony again.

We have stayed at the Colony Hotel 5-6 times during the past 3 years. We were charmed from the start by the old building, front porch, the beach club area, and our comfortable room. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and low-key. The full breakfast has been changed (during pandemic) to coffee/tea and muffins which is a perfect start to the day. The proximity to the many restaurants on Atlantic Avenue is a draw. Through no fault of The Colony Hotel, there is little social distancing and mask usage on Atlantic at night. We plan to return often once we are vaccinated and the new covid infection numbers have decreased.

This place has a nostalgic , old time feel from the decor and old time elevator, wood floors. The rooms are spacious and super clean - has air condition in the windows so as not to disrupt the old time feel. The highlight is the pool/beachclub - it’s 1 1/2 mi away but it’s a beautiful spot on the beach and also has a spacious salt water pool.
