I have been in a lot of hotels but the lack of communication was extremely low. My family and I stayed almost 6 days and I was told housekeeping would come in on day 4 to change out sheets and all that jazz. On day one we had to ask for towels multiple times within the day for towels. Our room was never checked on to take our trash out and always had to ask the front desk for fresh towels. On top of that our phone in the room didn’t work after being told maintenance would check on it. Also our key cards went bad several times as well. I will not be staying at this hotel again or recommend it to any of my friends. Very disappointed

This was not like the La Quinta hotels we have stayed at before. Very run down andinneed of repairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful but someone from headquarters needs together out of the office and check this hotel out. It definitely needs help! Rippled carpet in the hallway to stains on the drapery, to drab rooms. Continental breakfast was cereal, waffles, little bit of fruit that was gone almost immediately, hard boiled eggs, juice and terrible coffee! So sad to see this...

Dear Gina, I have read your review of your stay at the La Quinta Speedway and please accept my apologies that it was not up to your expectations. We have acquired this older hotel just 2 years ago and are in the beginning of renovations. The carpet is being replaced by tile as one can see in the hallways, new paint and new furniture soon! Breakfast is Continental - which means a small or on the go breakfast, and most guests love our coffee! We are a franchise and the GM is doing everything possible to move things along with the updates; things take time. Please visit again on your future endeavors and see the wonderful renovations that are taking place! I am glad the staff was helpful and friendly and thank you for your feedback.

But short of a seven day vacation for a family this hotel will suit all your other needs for clean basic accommodations and a good simple free breakfast. Pool looked slightly dated but very clean. Hot tub looked very inviting and was nice and warm. Wish I had brought a swimsuit! Right off the highway and many food options of many levels nearby and some in walking distance. I'm booking a stay there again today.

A dump. Carpets were worn out 20 years ago. Sink falling out of vanity, sliding glass door on first floor sealed shut. Forget walking out to the pool. Cleaning service only every 3 days, The bathroom floor was dirty when we arrived. Fresh, clean towels were only available if you took the soiled ones to the front desk. When we requested a refund when we told them we were leaving a day early, the answer was too bad, no refunds. Never again!!!

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, our housekeeping team is currently only servicing rooms every third day of your stay, in an effort to ensure social distancing to protect both our guests and our staff, and I apologize if this was not properly explained during the check-in process. In regards to refunds, the ability to process them varies depending on which type of rate was booked (advance purchase, etc.), and always require 24 hour notice in order to be honored. We value you as a guest and hope for the opportunity to earn your business again in the future!

This hotel appears to be very old and in need of immediate renovation. The security door was either unlocked, propped open or the key didn't work. The stairwell hand rails had multiple areas of paint missing and was in need of new paint. Our room was on the second floor - 218. The room was dirty when we arrived. The bathroom looked was dirty, toilet and tub needed cleaning and their was hair on the clean towel left for us to use. The refrigerator in the room had pieces of old food and was not cleaned. The floor had trash on it and looked as if it had not been vacuumed in a while. The carpet had multiple stains on it. The bed skirt had stains on it as well. The balcony when you walked on it had a sticky substance on it. Overall, the room smelled very musty. We bought Lysol and cleaning wipes so that we could feel like the room was clean for us to use the facilities. The room was just an old filthy room and not worth the amount of money we had to pay for the room. We also were not able to get a refund for the room. In closing, I would not stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. Lastly, one positive note to this hotel was the staff. They were very pleasant and helpful.

Not a La Quinta like it was when we reserved it. This was a one night stop on our way to the Keys for a vacation. They Change our room on us since the room with the king bed we reserved wasn't available anymore and they never told us in advance till we were there at check in... Had to settle for a room with 2 double beds and never got a word back from the manager about a possible credit back for the extra money we paid for the king bed. Shower drain was clogged so it was a no go on the use of the shower. it's near a shooting range so be prepared to hear gunshots earlier in the day but they do stop around 9. Breakfast was an eh at best, slim choices from toast to 4 tiny bowls of cereal or a tiny yogurt.

Very clean. All of the staff(front desk,housekeeping and managers)is super friendly and helpful. Marrisa was very quick to accommodate and very nice.I know in the age of Covid hotels have a big responsibility in ensuing stepping up their cleaning and disinfecting routines and procedures. I felt comfortable with how they handled this situation. Will definitely come back.

Unsafe and disgusting! Of the 4 exterior doors to my building, only the two facing the center green/pool area locked. The 2 doors on the parking lot side were not secured - the lock mechanism was duct taped so the door stayed open. These also slammed every time someone used them. I am always willing to pay a pet fee, but hard to accept that when the room smells and the carpet had more black stains than a Dalmatian has spots. Kept my flip flops on at all times and bring my own sheet for the top of the bed so kept the dog with me and off the floor as much as possible. Room temperature was impossible to regulate and boiled eggs at breakfast had such a weird texture, I threw them away. When I raised the unlocked doors at checkout, was told…”They’re working on things”

Very dirty place. I was assigned to a room that hadn’t been cleaned and when I went to front desk to let them know, there were two more guests having the same issue. The new room I was given had a horrible stench that’s still there after 3 days. Room service never goes to rooms even after requested. Room had no microwave and things that are normally standard at other Baymont locations (i.e. Sarasota, FL) are nonexistent here. Staff is ok but can be very disrespectful. Lady on the front was having a full no-emergency conversation with her family on speaker and laughing her lungs out while trying to check me in. I’m not coming back to this particular sub brand of Hilton

Upon check-in, we found blood and hair in the bathroom. Carpets and mattresses were stained and filthy. We killed roaches, which I gather from other reviews is not uncommon. Sliding door with easy access to parking was welded shut (probably due to the drug addicts wandering about everywhere outside). My daughter ended up with bug bites all over. Most interesting was the shower. We noticed the floor of it was squishy. By night 2 and 3 we were nearly losing our balance and falling out of the shower because it was like standing on a waterbed. Apparently the water collects under the shower floor and when you move around, it squishes out and floods the bathroom floor.
Bottom line - in a global pandemic, there is NO REASON for anyone to walk in to a motel room to find blood and hair in the bathroom. This place is DISGUSTING. Stay far away. Mr. Volz offered us a discount on our first night only because we stayed all three nights. There really was no choice during Daytona 500 weekend. Hotels were full and we would have run away fast if we could have
