I am pleased that Kathy was able to help you..,,it does surprise me that you did not find the rest of the Front Desk staff to be helpful as I frequently receive compliments about their friendliness.

I stayed here Summer 2012, and since Summer is around the corner I thought I better warn people about staying here. This was the WORST experience we had in staying somewhere for a vacation. As 1 reviewer put it the only nice thing about the...More

Clearly nothing about the Daytona Inn was agreeable to you. I regret your unfortunate experience but cannot investigate the validity of a complaint that occurred over a year ago.
We all work very hard to be a friendly and helpful staff and we all care...More

I am distressed to hear of your dis-satisfaction...if any guest ever has a problem or concern, I fully expect to be informed of it at the time and to have an opportunity to fix the problem. Sadly, this guest did not give me this opportunity....More
Stayed for a night when I was visiting family in Daytona. The hotel's location couldn't be better. It is right on the beach and A1A and is very close to the boardwalk and water park. My kids were able to play on the beach without...More

First room smelled like mold and mildew. I was told completely redone. The only thing remotely new was a shower curtain used for the closet door. Keep as we made our way to the fourth-floor, plywood over lots of the crumbling stucco and a boarded up elevator. Very unit doors were needing to be painted. And the only working elevator was filthy. I truly felt a bomb at went off and this was what was left.
After refusing to sleep on 4th floor Ocean view with a balcony the front desk had us check out another unit. It was on the ground level. The inside "decor only" appeared a little better. Though as we opened our side door huge scaffolding was sitting there. Absolutely NO view nor access to the beach. I truly can't believe this building passes city inspections. The baloneys had jacks and posts holding them up!
If you are thinking of buying a unit for an investment, I would reconsider. If you're wanting to gamble on staying there, ask to see the room they are trying to rent out before exchanging any banking information.

I was just there a week ago and i stayed in 421 a 1 bedroom it was great. Ocean front condo. They are still doing construction. I spoke with the HOA people and the construction is to repair hurricane damage after a battle with insurance and needed normal maintenance. The HOA is new and taking better care of the building. My relatives stay there a lot thats how i started staying there. And we never go through the front office. You cant be guaranteed the room you see is what you get like when you rent directly from the owners. I don’t like roulette. Hope it helps.
