Located steps from the beach, Club Wyndham Ocean Walk is applauded for its range of amenities, including inviting pools and hot tubs, though some guests have encountered maintenance issues. Despite mixed reviews on the atmosphere and room conditions, with certain areas needing attention, many visitors appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and cozy accommodations. The service at this hotel varies, with reports of both friendly, efficient staff and occasional service hiccups. While some find the location convenient, others believe the cost does not match the value, citing aggressive sales tactics and underwhelming amenities.

We have owned Wyndham points for many years and have stayed at the Club Wyndham Ocean Walk about 25 or 30 times. This location is excellent and the resort is always clean. The food at the Bucket List Bar is appetizer type food but is always tasty and reasonably priced. But there are many full service restaurants within walking distance.

Two bartenders, Marissa and Pat, were working at the Bucket List Bar on Sunday, September 26. Twice while my husband sat at the bar having a cold drink, multiple customers gave Marissa and Pat a very hard time. Their computers kept going down and the customers were taking their frustration out on both of them. My husband and I felt terrible for them, but both kept their composure and handled the situations with excellent professionalism. We commended them on how well they kept their cool.

On the negative side, there are signs up that say pool chairs cannot be reserved. That has never been enforced. If you don't get to the pool early, you will not have a lounge chair. Of all the times we've been there, I think we got loungers once or twice. Every chair on the deck has a towel on it by 8:30 or 9:00 even though the deck is nearly empty of customers. We end up renting chairs on the beach. If reserving pool chairs is going to be allowed, customers should receive a voucher from Wyndham to help pay for the rental chairs on the beach.

The other negative is that you have to see at least two or three Wyndham employees before you receive your room key. I'm not sure why Wyndham does this, but it's very irritating and after traveling, all you want to do is get your key and settle in. What is even worse is that they send you to a podium to get your key and every single time, you are practically harassed into attending what they call an "owner update." We have been suckered into that several times and all it boils down to is that they are trying sell you more points. We own two deeds, one we purchased from Wyndham and one that we bought secondary. We attended an update last year. The sales person was extremely rude when he found out we weren't buying more points. He told us we should sell the points we have because they were no good since we will never make it to a high level membership since about half of our points are the secondary purchase. He then jumped up from his chair and stalked off. We swore at that time we would never go to another update and we will stand by that.

Wyndham, your owners would be much happier if you mailed/emailed the updates to us rather than pushing us come to an hour long meeting, that usually ends up being at least 90 minutes every time we check in.

If you're looking for a place on the beach with tons of stuff to do for kids, this is a great choice. I'm between giving this place a 3 and 4 star simply because the location, amenities, easy access to restaurants all within walking distance, are all the things that make this place worth it.

I saw the images when i booked the ocean view room and expected the typical beachy look, but when you get charged $250 per night you can definitely find a place that is a little nicer that's close by. I will say though that the room was clean, bed was comfy so really the only issue with the room (at least mine) was that its not aesthetically pleasing compared to newer modern hotels that you can book for the same price.

If you have a family, I would consider booking this place again simply because they have a slide for kids, 3 pools, hot tubs, you get a ton of discounts on drinks and at other local spots. Parking is easy. Staff was nice for the most part. Easy beach access. My ocean view room had 1 queen bed, kitchen and couch.

We had a lovely view! The condo was very nice, but not pristine. I was happy not to have room service come in every day to make the bed. I hate having to hide my electronics and valuables before they come in. For what we paid
i thought it was worth it. There were fun activities to participate in each day. I especially enjoyed the dueling pianos. The pools were warm and the two hot tubs were great. The two indoor pools were good if there was a rainy day. The Lazy River was fun, but it is not heated. There was easy access to the beach, and there were many restaurants available. You could walk through the hotel and be able to go to many nice restaurants and bars. We especially liked Sloppy Joe's. Further down the beach was Joe's Crab Shack which had delicious drinks and seafood. There were that also many reasonably priced restaurants within 2 or 3 blocks. The Eatery in the resort is small, but had good choices and was moderately priced. On a cool day the fire-pit was enjoyable. The people working there were pleasant and willing to make you comfortable. On the negative side, they did try hard to get you to attend an information session on joining their vacation club. They did let up once we said no. FYI we visited in January.

This is our second visit to Club Wyndham Ocean Walk. It's a great place to relax. They have pools, hot tub, lazy river and it's right on the ocean. You can bring your own groceries as the rooms have kitchens with dishwashers or walk to the nearby restaurants. The nearby shops are kind of a let down as they all sell the same stuff....T shirts and overpriced junk. Be sure to walk down the beach to Zeno's Candy and Ice Cream on Main Street. They make wonderful ice cream and waffle cones.

Club Wyndham Ocean Walk is a beautiful resort. Although most activities were shut down due to COVID we still enjoyed ourselves. If everything was up and running I feel this would be a fabulous beach resort. The unit was spacious and clean upon arrival. The only negative I would have regarding the room was the fact that the master bathroom did not have a door on it going from the master bedroom. I did not like that. I feel there should be a door. Also, the master bathroom shower could use some work as the floor and sides looked very worn making it look dirty even though I don't believe it was. Just very worn. The view from our room balacony was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The resort was really good about sending up extra detergent and paper products whenever we needed them. I also liked how security removed towels from pool chairs that had been unoccupied for 1/2 hour. The chairs were limited and this made it easier to get one. So my advise is if you want a pool chair, get there early and stay in them! Check in and out was easy and resort workers were friendly. Great resort. I highly recommend this for a beach vacation!

well to start again wyndham has shortcutted as usual on a good thing this resort location is the only thing I enjoy on this vacation. First off the check-in process was off point they had in-car check-in but the room wasn't ready so you had to still come in to the lobby to get your keys which was packed with a long line in covid that wasn't a good look to have that many people in one place waiting for a process that took at least 30 min then once I got to the room it didn't seem as if they did a good job on cleaning one of the beds wasn't made up and have to call for towels again in covid not a good look on top of all that by 7 in the evening there was stay trash all through the hallways which I would have thought housekeeping would have removed and it smell bad really bad I had to go downstair to tell them to please have it removed there were also some type of bugs in my room .I could go on but I feel that this is a standard wyndham practice short cuts for all the claims for being the #1 brand if falls short most for the time this hotel is far beyond out dated it feel unstaffed. i did get a call from the resort and the oh we`re sorry and will take care of speech that I always receive from Wyndham was given . good look to all who travel here and please by all means bring your own cleaning supplies

We reserved unit 1607 from the owner named Cindy with another couple for the weekend of March 14, 2020. Then the Florida Governor ordered a travel ban throughout the State, so we contacted the owner Cindy and explained that we would have to cancel due to the travel ban. She refused to contact us and after many repeated attempts she finally spoke with her on July 2nd. This was one of the most rude people we have ever dealt with. She refused to change the date or any type of refund, even laughed during the phone call. This lady is a dark spot on Club Wyndham and all the respectable owners of this particular time share location.
Club Wyndham should screen their renters more carefully. Most unprofessional

Beautiful resort right on the beach. It was really clean. We loved pool, lazy river, tiki bar. Room tips: park on the same level of parking ramp as your room. Bring a sound machine. We could hear the people in the next room like they were right in our room. Stock up at Publix on soda and water. The resort sells soda at $3.87/piece. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We absolutely loved this resort.
Do not be fooled into attending their “info” session on how Wyndham timeshares wok. We are RCI members. We were told about the info session. Basically they just tell you RCI is crap and you need to spend money to get Wyndham points. It is very misleading. RCI and Wyndham are both owned by a parent company and that parent company gave the
Timeshare division the name Wyndham. It is a high pressure scam. Your RCI timeshare will still trade just fine.
There is a lot of security around the building so we always felt safe. We will definitely be back!

Great time by the BEACH!! Oct 18-23, 2020
The place was very clean and awesome. We got what we expected. Between the helpful staff, the side ocean view location, the large unit rooms was spacious, the huge pools and lazy river (Other amenities closed due to Covid-19). I loved the wristband keys. Very handy. The water and beach was very clean (Riptides were very bad so couldn’t go into the water. Tried to walk next to the seawall but got knocked down by a wave). When people were on the line for elevators and not wearing a mask, there were workers reminding them to wear a mask and then gave them a disposable paper mask. The location is so perfect that you can walk everywhere and don’t need to drive much. Restaurants are so close and lots of variety. You cannot go wrong staying at the Wyndham Ocean Walk and I will definitely go back soon.
The only negative was that there was some small dogs in the pool area. The rules say NO PETS so I felt safe and didn't worry about my being allergic to dogs. Leave your pets at home and follow the rules. What happened to the rights of people allergic to animals? Don't I have rights too?

On 3/25/21, I booked a reservation for my boyfriend and I to stay at this resort from 4/22/21 to 4/27/21. At that point, there were close to a dozen units available with the same accommodations, for the same dates, at the same price. On the morning of 4/19/21, I was panicked to receive a text from the resort saying that the owner of the condo unexpectedly passed away and my booking was canceled. I was “reassured” by the site I booked through that the resort would be penalized for canceling my reservation last minute, although this is not at all comforting, seeing as my vacation is now three days away and I need to scramble to find a place to stay. I find this suspect for two reasons. Firstly, right in the booking it says that rooms are not assigned until the day of arrival. I find it odd that I was told I could not request a certain room/location, but then my booking was canceled, leading me to believe that a room had been assigned ahead of time. Secondly, if the owner suddenly passed away, this would have no effect on the booking whatsoever. Needless to say, I will never be staying here again.
