We usually stay at the beach but this year we decided to stay here and save about $100 a day. This hotel was great. Close to shopping and restaurants and about 10-15 minutes from the beach. The staff was great, room was clean and the breakfast wasn't bad. Also not far from rt95.

Initially I thought this was a pretty nice hotel. I selected my hotel room online but it wasn’t available when I got there. He said he had no record of it. My brother stayed as well (different room) and the same thing happened to him. First time this has ever happened with a Hilton. Not the end of the world. Just seemed unorganized.

The room: Everything seemed clean and the pillows and bed were comfy. The first night I slept really well, however I did wake up to the mini fridge making strange noises. It was about 10 minutes before my alarm was about to go off so I wasn’t too irritated. However the second night, around 1am, the AC unit was making nonstop pinging noises. This woke me up. It was so loud I recorded it. I contemplated calling the front desk but realistically what were they going to do at 1am? So fortunately I had headphones with a sleep music app and I was able to get back to sleep. I have no idea how long it lasted. I know I did not sleep as well as the first night but the sound was no longer pinging when I woke up in the morning.

The bathroom shower and toilet had very little pressure. The ceiling of the bathroom was rusted and peeling.

Conveniently 6 1/2 feet up on the wall, close to the ceiling, is a sticker that says you will not get room service unless you stay more than five nights. I did not see the “sign” until the last day when I was wondering why they never took out my trash or swapped my towels. If you have more than one person staying in the room you will need to request that.

The free Hilton breakfast was good, same as always.

The location is right next-door to the Daytona speedway. There is a hooligans bar/restaurant in the same parking lot.

Overall I would attempt this hotel again. I’ve reserved my room six months ago for Jeep Beach, when the prices were still affordable. I’m just really glad I did not pay the increased price by waiting last minute.

The room (219) was acceptably clean but certainly not thoroughly clean. Dust and other things were obvious along the edges of the room, but well within reach of a vacuum had one been used. The bathroom was also relatively clean, but there were signs of mildew along the shower/tub and the baseboards and trim. The linens appeared to be clean; it was difficult to tell about the comforter, but I rarely use any hotel comforter so I didn’t look closely. I’ve stayed in this hotel in the past, and the standards seemed to have slipped since my last stay. I hope to find it in better condition on my next visit.

I am really surprised the recent reviews saying this hotel was clean. Makes me wonder what their standard of clean is. The baseboards are all dinged up. The doors too. The grout is super nasty - this hotel needs a deep clean. The hallways look like they are from the 1970s. The lobby had so much air freshener in it, I could gag.
Yes, the breakfast is free. The coffee is decent. The breakfast items weren't adequately re-stocked - people had to ask the front desk for things like coffee cups or forks.
Also, if you try and stay during the nearby Daytona Race, they charge you $450 a night. $450 for a hole of a hotel!
Yes you can walk to the speedway (20 minutes by sidewalk). There is a Wendy's across the street (15 minute walk the opposite side of the road). There's an Outback Restaurant 5 minute walk away.
The pool area was clean and pleasant but the pool was FREEZING (February).
This hotel is ick. I would not say here again. Clean it people. For gosh sakes, clean the elevator floor. Gross.
Oh, and they do have beach towels by the pool, but good grief, they are the size of a postage stamp and super thin. It was laughable. But not really at $450 a night.

I believe I checked in this hotel at probably 12 AM in the morning and checked out at 12:20 AM after seeing I didn’t roach in the drawer and a live wrote running across the bathroom baseboard. I informed the front desk and spoke with a nice man by the name of John who admitted that other patrons have complained approaches get all he could do was offer me a free night stay or he could have someone come spray for roaches in my room. I’m a professional singer and there was no way that I could sleep in a room that had bug spray in it. I was so disgusted and thoroughly discussed it with Hilton because I am a Hilton Honors member. I expect way more from this establishment. This is not a travel lodge or motel. Simply appalling
And unacceptable. Can Only imagine the extra protein that is in the complementary breakfast that they serve in the morning. YUK!

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the track and stayed for 6 nights.
Cost during speed week:
One night $167, four nights at $529 and one night $352 plus taxes.
The hotel is within walking distance to the track and numerous places to eat. So convenience and location were awesome. The staff were friendly and pleasant from check in to check out. The hotel serves a breakfast every morning with some sort of egg, sausage, and potato along with cereal, yogurt, fruit, and breads. They had two waffle irons, however one was broke the entire time we were there and still had a piece of waffle attached to it. Upon our way to the room we noticed the ice machine on the third floor was broken. This was repaired the following day. Our first evening, we ventured over to the pool and hot tub, neither were clean and the hot tub was out of order. We checked again on our last full day there and we’re told it was still out of order. Additionally there were two days one of the two elevators were also out of order.
The room itself was small but okay, it had a king size bed, closet, desk, tv, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. There was also some packets of coffee however it was light coffee. We checked with staff to see if they had something stronger and we were told corporate only allows light coffee. A couple of other things to note. The AC was so noisy and when it was on, the room would get cold however within minutes of it being off the room was hot again. I also thought it was odd that the room did not have a safe.
The bed itself was comfy however the pillows were awful. We requested two additional pillows and the staff were kind enough to get us some but it really didn’t help.
Housekeeping. We didn’t use it. We were told that if we didn’t ask for them to clean the room they wouldn’t enter. Which we were good with, we just got fresh towels when needed.
Something to keep in mind. While staying during the Daytona race the hotel and every business in the area sell spaces for parking. We noticed one afternoon that the hotel parking lot was getting full, we asked if there would be a spot available for us when we returned, while the staff member stated- there should be a spot, it didn’t provide us with much confidence. There was a spot when we returned, we just had to park behind the hotel.
So bottom line - the hotel has a good location for the airport and track, staff are friendly but needs some upkeep.

Disappointed in the overall condition of the property. Entire Ceiling in bathroom peeling and cracking, fixtures and surrounds needed updating badly. Hallways needed vacuuming, hardly worth the $200 a night for a Hilton business member, Florida resident, AAA member, etc.

We stayed for several days while visiting our son, who attends a close by university. We were given a second floor end room, which we are thankful for. We were traveling with our dogs, and that room meant hearing less noise. We checked in using the Hilton app and while that was nice to skip the front desk, the digital key did not work. (FYI Hilton... this is the second Hilton hotel that the digital key did not work!) The front clerk quickly got us key cards right away and we were in our room with no problems after that. Worth noting is that the room was small. It had one small chair to sit in, a little refrigerator and a microwave available. We did have a tiny view through the trees of the Daytona Speedway. The room and bed were comfortable. Every employee we had contact with was kind and friendly. Breakfast was served each day with several choices available to choose from. Also worth noting is that they have a nice area in the lobby for sitting. We had family visit and there was plenty of room for us to sit and visit, especially since we couldn't all fit in our room. There are plenty of tables and chair available as well as several comfy chaira ina separate sitting area. Nice! The hotel is in a great location and we had a very pleasant stay. We will absolutely use this hotel again when we travel to Daytona.

I stayed here twice in 2022 due to hurricanes Ian and Nicole. I live locally on a dirt road and had to be able to get to work. You can see my full review, "Round 2" from November 2022. Now, almost a year later, I had to stay again due to work being done on my house. It was pretty much the same, but a few things were different. I was once again on the 3rd floor. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the awful carpet and wallpaper combination had been replaced by new materials. Maybe corporate read my review?? I had a king size bed with microwave and fridge. The room was very nice, as always. They have moved from the individual soap and shampoo usually provided, to shampoo in a large dispenser in the shower. However, there was no hair conditioner or soap, so you'll have to bring your own. The hairdryer is in a bag hung on the back of the bathroom door. I had to look for that, but it worked fine once I found it.
There is STILL no TV channel guide in the room. I have no idea why. If you ask for it at the front desk, they will give you one. But the one I left in room 307 was probably removed within minutes of my departure. The channel lineup is different than at home and I want to be able to tell at a glance what channel is where. So ask if you want one, and as if by magic, it will be provided to you.
Breakfast was good, with the usual choices. The same not-very-nice woman I mentioned in my first review was there again, manning the buffet.. but I stayed out of her way so she wouldn't snap at me, and all went well. I was only there one night
I believe I commented on the lack of ports for electronics before. I noticed this time that there are two ports in the alarm clock. They were probably there before, but if so, I didn't notice. Still, I had hearing aids, a phone and a laptop to charge, so I'm glad I brought the regular cords. There are plenty of places to charge items with regular electrical plugs in the lamp bases and on the wall behind the desk by the windows.
Until last year, I had never stayed in a local hotel, but if the need arises, I'll be back. It's a great location. Close to the Speedway, the mall, as well as restaurants and other shopping.

First let me say that my husband and I are loyal Diamond Hampton Inn guests. We almost always choose HH for our hotel stays.

First the positives: The lobby area was very clean and lots of open space. The front desk host was friendly and we were welcomed and check in efficiently. Breakfast a basic HI breakfast but plentiful.

Cons: The huge dehumidifier in the lobby emptying collected moisture into a huge garbage can should have been a warning. Upon entering our room we were hit by an artic blast because the AC was set on 60°. We turned it up to 70° and quickly learned why it was set so low. The moisture level in the room was so high that without the AC running all the mirrors and our eye glasses fogged up. Everything in the room was damp: carpet, bed sheets, even the toilet paper in the bathroom. I began wheezing in the night due to probably mold and needed my inhaler. We decided since we were only there 1 night to just power through. I mean, at least the AC worked! The next morning on check out I told the front desk about the issue as an FYI to have it checked. Didn’t complain or ask for compensation just wanted her to know. Her lackluster reply was that it was an ongoing problem with almost all the rooms. The couple next to us eating breakfast said their room was the same way. I can’t imagine the amount of mold collecting in those rooms! A definite health hazard!

So although we will continue to be loyal HI guests and love the travel ease of this location, we will never stay at this one again.

Hampton Inn Daytona Raceway, you need to be shut down, AC/ventilation system fixed and mold remediation done!
