Definitely a historic venerable hotel. Lobby is grand and impressive but our room 354 left me underwhelmed with old Spanish tile floor and decor that looked tired and not kept up for the price they charged. I understand the old world charm but it needed some refreshing and updating. The hallways, rooms and furnishings looked tired. Maybe they have other...

The Biltmore represents old world elegance and sophistication where quality, service and friendliness are paramount. Beautiful rooms w soft linens, fluffy pillows and daily maid service who puts everything away and straightens up for you. No need to fight over or reserve lounge chairs around the 2x sized Olympic pool and food service is prompt & efficient. Great for people...

Historic landmark but pretty old-fashioned with slightly pompous and inflexible front desk service. Framed photographs of old golfers line the corridors..you get the idea. Bedrooms are a bright spot, more up-to-date and we'll-equipped with good amenities. On the other hand, you can easily spot paint chipping away in the corridors and public areas. The lower level is a bit of...

For a conference this was ideal location for couple of days. Steeped in olde time charm, it is easy to fantasize your are Jake Gatsby on holiday in 1928. On the brink of extinction after mix uses, it was brought back to life a couple decades ago. The restoration was high end and nothing plastic feeling about he decor. It...

Wonderful throw back to years gone by. We very much enjoyed our weekend here to attend a wedding. Staff was always courteous and helpful. We experienced a minor hiccup with valet parking but all in all it was a great adventure. The pool area is spectacular! Caution!! If your intent is a resort near the beach this is not it,...

The challenge to me for my wife's birthday, after a brutally difficult year, was to find a place where she didn't need to leave, everything would be perfect- no disappointments. She is an experienced and very discriminating traveler. After significant research I settled on the Biltmore, about two hours from where we live. Much to my relief, the Biltmore delivered!...

I've been here several times and actually got married here. It's a gorgeous old hotel that is still quite luxurious. The rooms are nice but not all are the same. Some are older Spanish style and others more standard luxury hotel. The pool is beautiful and the restaurants are good. Lots of history and great building. You will need a...

Resort is really past its prime They claim it is the biggest hotel pool in Florida. Don't get me wrong, its a very nice big pool, however it just didn’t seem sooo big, so not sure where they come up with that claim. For a fancy resort it was a 3/ 3.5 star Old cavernous hotel, seems like you are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Graced with effortless beauty and sophistication, The Biltmore Hotel is a national historic landmark located in the exclusive Coral Gables area with close proximity to Miami Beach and downtown Miami. The 273-room resort resembles classic Italian, Moorish, and Spanish architectural influences spread over 150-acres of tropical landscape. A favorite of world leaders and celebrities since its opening in 1926, the hotel offers a restored Donald Ross 18-hole, 71 par championship golf course, tennis courts, the largest hotel pool on the East Coast of the United States with private cabanas, a European spa, and an award-winning fitness center. The hotel's dining destinations include the award winning Palme d'Or, recognized by Zagat as one of the best restaurants in the country; Fontana, a traditional Italian restaurant surrounding The Biltmore courtyard and fountain; the poolside Cascade and the 19th Hole Golf restaurant. The hotel also recently unveiled its culinary academy offering an array of hands-on cooking classes for adults and children. The Biltmore is one of South Florida's preferred sites for leisure and business travel, high-level corporate briefings, public policy conferences, and an extraordinary wedding destination.
