I went there with a bit of anticipation and hesitation, having read previous reviews, which were mixed and leaning towards the negative. I’m quite receptive to eccentric and boutique hotels, and I usually expect that negative reviewers of such are the type who prefer the predictable consistency of chain hotels. Score one for them because the St. Michel left me...

I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and quiet hotel that is centrally located. The staff was excellent and friendly, and there is a parking garage that you can park your car in (for a daily fee) and walk to wherever you need to go.

Can be a fantastic hotel but needs updating and some care and attention . There was no water one day the lift is a chore and I had a bed frame outside my door for 3 days while they painted it!! Location is fantastic but breakfast is not worth bothering with !!

This beautiful property, located in the center or Coral Gables and within walking distance to restaurants and shops is badly in a state of disrepair. The beautiful wood floors are in terrible shape and the scant staff can't deal with the needs of the guests when occupation is more than 25%. If you are not planning on staying in your...

Old style hotel located downtown at a walking distance of Miracle Mile and stores. It's possible to park the car for an affordable price. Average room with a noisy AC and an old shower. Very basic breakfast. No frigo bar.

This Hotel has a perfect location,a few blocks from Miracle Mile. The rooms are clean and cozy, however it feels as grandma's house, the staff is attentative, in the morning they served a complimentary coffee and pastries, just to grab and go. If you are looking for something different and old school with great location this is the option.

Lovely old hotel with attentive, helpful staff. It's beautiful and well-appointed at every turn. As other reviews have mentioned, there is indeed an old Otis Elevator (lift) that requires staff to operate it. Not only do they do so, but they rush to help with luggage. Our room had two double beds, which we found comfy and I loved how...

If you are looking for something different, Hotel St Michel is different and different-good. While retaining its original charm and beauty from 1926, it is a cozy place to stay and more fun than many of the standard hotels I stayed in. As you approach, you notice the ivy growing on the wedge shaped corner lot building. The front door...

Hotel Place St. Michel is a very rare gem in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Coral Gables and it's nearby neighborhoods. The building is old and the hotel manages to keep the feel original. The downstairs restaurant is excellent and it's close to too many restaurant and bars in this great area. The rate is extremely competitive...

Needed somewhere to stay after flying into Miami, but I didn't want to stop on South Beach. Stopped here as it seemed a little quirky and it was. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was a basic slightly dated queen bed room. It was absolutely fine. We could not work the lift and there were no instructions...
