Surprisingly nice!. This resort is actually really nice, clean, and lots of amenities and activities. We live on the road, per se, staying in different resorts. We stayed at all of the Diamond Resorts in Orlando, and Mystic Dunes I think is the best one. Although Diamond (or most of their top resorts) is now part of Hilton Grand Vacations, and we stayed at a good sample of Hilton resorts I would still rank Mystic Dunes in the top 15%. We stayed for 2-weeks back to back in a 2-bedroom unit overlooking the pool in the newest building (#30?), the one beside the registration office, and fitness room. The gym is super large, one of the biggest gyms in all the resorts we stayed in, lots of machines, weights, etc... The resort also has shuttles or golf carts that runs every 15 min everywhere to take you to the different pools, tennis courts, mini-golf course, or where ever you want to go. We tried almost every activity at the main pool which is absolutely awesome. The waterfall is relaxing, massage. The slide is actually decent, and there are plenty of lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas, and a really nice tiki bar... You can also ride bikes, you can rent them all day for free! The 2-bedroom condo has a lot of space, very open, and the balcony is screened with tremendous views of the golf courses. I think maybe the only down side that I recall was that there were no jacuzzis.... other than that, this place is a must visit.…
Had a great week. Good walking. Used pool daily. Put put golf was always busy. Great party for St. Pat's evening. Golf carts will get you anywhere. We were bussed to a down town restaurant for dinner and entertainment.
Stay away, run away. Do not book a stay at the Mystic Dunes Resort, they lie to you. They tell you to come in for a 1 hour preview of the resort and tell you that they won’t try to sell you anything, big lie. One hot was two and they attempted to sell me a timeshare. What a wast of time
The rooms were very nice. An upgrade to what is pictured in my opinion. The front desk was amazing. Very kind and easy to deal with. The ease of being able to text when I needed any items or had any issues arrise was great. We had some noisy neighbors and security was sent right away. Food and prices were great. We ran into one rude waitress at the restaurant.. some people are just miserable. I left it at that. Enjoy your tip or lack there of lol. The one downfall in my opinion, were some of the guests. Rude and inconsiderate, but it was busy season. Would definitely look for a resort that does not do timeshare presentations in the future.
Had several issues and none was resolved, room keys had to be changed 3 times, housekeeping open my room saying we were checking out and 2 room had ants on the bed and nightstand.contacted front desk when they were giving us nes keys and nothing was done.7 day nightmare plus people ringing doorbell at 3am
We stayed here for 7 nights, and chose this resort because we are Hilton Honors members and the rate was very reasonable. The photos of the villas on the Hilton Honors app were however a bit misleading as far as what you can expect the room to look like. Upon checking in, we immediately noticed a strong sour musty smell throughout the entire unit. The sofa bed felt like it was made of lumpy concrete and the unit was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. There was a miniature balcony big enough for one person at a time. This was the 1 bedroom premium suite with a sofa bed. I spoke to the welcome center about upgrading or moving rooms, and for an additional $100 a night, we stayed in large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa that was appeared to have been updated recently. The difference was literally night and day. There are 4 pools, the Dunes pool has the a pretty waterfall and slightly sketchy water slide that I was a little hesitant to sign the waiver allowing my kids to go down, one of the kids ended up with a giant goose egg on her head for several days. The garden pool was clean, with very few people, and aside from the terrible elevator music and tiki bar that was never open, it was a nice place to escape to when the larger pools were crowded. I am giving this place 2 stars for the following experience: We decided to stay 3 additional nights the day before we were supposed to leave. I didn't see any vacancies online, so I called the welcome center, who told me to call the reservation center, who told me to call the welcome center, at which point I was disconnected (probably due to the horrible WiFi situation). It was late, I was frustrated and decided to try again in the morning. I woke up at 6:30am and was able to make the new reservation very easily with a very nice gentleman in the reservation center. I gave him our villa number 3 times and clarified at least twice before making the reservation, that we would be able to stay in the same room. I just had to go to the welcome center to get new keys. We planned to leave for Magic Kingdom around 9:30, so around 9am I headed over there, expecting to swap out our keys and head to the parks for the day. Im unsure that I could have predicted how far off my expectations actually would be. The staff was not really throwing out welcoming vibes to start. They informed me that we would need to move rooms or we could pay the difference of the upgrade (which was significantly higher than the previous transaction. The staff member helping me ushered me over to someone else. I again had to explain it all. The 2nd woman was just plain rude & acted annoyed that she had to deal with this and was completely unapologetic. After disappearing for a few minutes, she informed me that her manager said there was nothing they could do unless I upgrade the room. If I was moving rooms at this point, it was going to be at a different resort. I then tried to cancel the reservation that was made based on false pretenses. She was happy to tell me she couldn't do that and it's supposed to be cancelled 24 hours in advance, so I may not be able to cancel it but I would again need to call the reservation line. As I walked out, she reminded me that check out is at 10am. By that time is was already 9:30, and we had nothing packed. Over the 30 minutes we were given to pack, at least 4 different people knock on the door inquiring about our ETA for departure, (all of these visits were before the actual check out time of 10 am). Getting the reservation cancelled was difficult as well. The reservation center told me she was unable to cancel it on her end and that the welcome center would have to do that. I explained again the whole story and she ended up calling them for me. She tried to explain the situation to them and get them to honor the rate quoted, but they were unwilling to accommodate that. I think I may be more upset that not only was so much of our time wasted by poor customer service skills and miscommunications, but we lost $500 on 4 unused Disney tickets that were only good for that day. I have tried to contact Hilton multiple times over the last few days because I am unable to view my receipt online. I want to be sure I am credited the points earned for the money we originally paid to upgrade our villa. After spending 4 hours trying to get in touch with Hilton via their in app chat service, and being disconnected by 2 different agents because their app was not working well and it delayed my responses to them, I have still not been able to get clarification on this.…
Nora checked us in and was very polite, professional and accommodating. Keep in mind that after you check in, they send you to another counter to get your parking pass. This is really just a means for them to try to make you commit to a 2 hour sales pitch to buy a timeshare through them. The property itself is beautiful. The main pool with the tiki bar and grill can get very busy. That’s a great opportunity to explore 1 of the other pools. We found one that was much quieter and more enjoyable. The unit we stayed in was perfect. The AC was super cold, which was nice. The washer /dryer in the unit was definitely appreciated, but the washer was SUPER loud! The text message communication throughout our stay was such a nice touch. They informed us of pool closures/openings due to weather, events, and just checked in periodically. The only real negatives we experienced were that the main pool had trash around it after the 4th of July party that didn’t get picked up. The parking there is horrendous! People park anywhere and everywhere…including in the grass, at stop signs, and behind other vehicles. We were also provided ZERO information in the checkout process and procedures. We ended up asking an employee who was outside our unit. He said we should have been given that info during the seminar. We told him that we didn’t attend one. He then just told us to leave everything because “that’s what housekeeping gets paid for; that’s their jobs”. Would definitely return but maybe when it’s not so busy!…
Check-in and check-out were straightforward. We happened to be placed in a building next to the large pool with a water slide. Every day, in the afternoon, rain clouds would appear briefly. The pool supervisors must clear the pool for lightning in the immediate area, keeping everyone safe. There is a nice miniature golf course and a full-size golf course on the property. There is a Walmart within a mile of the resort, extremely busy, so go early. My wife and I, unfortunately, caught Covid while there, not from the resort, but rather visiting someone in a rehab center. Hilton was very understanding concerning our problems, we cannot commend them enough for their help and understanding.
Was pleasantly surprised up on arrival and checking out property. The ratio was very good for what we paid and what we received It is a gated property on a golf course, four pools, tennis courts-highly recommend using your own racquets and balls, golf cart shuttles and so on
I stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes because it is close to Disney World. The apartment at the resort was clean and very comfortable. They had all you would need for a stay, accept food ,they have a full kitchen in the beautiful apartment with a great balcony.I stayed in the king deluxe because not all have a balcony. They have goft cart shuttles to take you anywhere in the resort.I did have a few matantice issues which were taken care of quickly.Everyone at the resort we're very nice and friendly, they also have a restaurant called Kenzie's that really had good veggie flatbread pizza and good whiskey sours in which I got to go. I definitely would stay there again when I go to Florida.
