To start with, if I find myself on Cedar Key for just a few nights, I would definitely stay here again. However, it is no way near standard Hampton Inns or Comfort Inns. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room itself was a nice size and we loved the pool even though about half of the pool chairs need to be replaced. The staff we dealt with were all courteous and helpful.
This is an old-school property. Think of your grandma's little place on the beach in the late 70s-80s. It is not a Marriott by any means, but that's okay as long as it fits your priorities. The place could definitely use a little TLC as the rooms are old and not especially well kept. Had some confusion with my room since it was not cleaned or turned around properly but the cleaning staff took care of it immediately. Lady at the front desk was very nice and found me an alternate room when she saw that the room Priceline booked me was occupied. Some nitpicks: bathroom floor not remotely level; room could definitely use a deep-clean; shower stall and head need an overhaul and you have to turn the faucet the opposite way; bed is very uncomfortable and headboard was so loose it knocked against wall when I turned over; windows dirty and blinds broken in spots. The good: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Unless you're flying a drone, there's no way you're finding a better sunset on the island. The room views are fantastic. I love having to walk to get "into town" and that the place I am going to sleep is both on the water and away from everything. It also appears to be the cheapest room on the island. Sure, you can book nicer places, but for the value, I will definitely be back.…
We came to cedar key with our elder Lab. Beach front was able to accommodate us but gave us a room that was very comfortable, clean and had a great view. The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate us. This is a great little town. We highly recommend visiting here and staying at the beach front
We have an elderly dog and we thought it was going to be difficult to travel with him this year, but the owners of the Beach Front were so kind and compassionate that our travels were made possible. I love the small town friendly feel of the motel which is certainly not "cookie cutter." It is close to all the amenities. Every night you get a gorgeous view of the sunset since it is right on the water. You can even enjoy a picnic dinner at one of the many outside tables while watching the sunset.
Great location but very noisy at night time. Room clean but needs to be updated. No hair dryers in room but they can get you one if needed. heating unit right next to our bed either hot or cold. Check process was good and no problems. Older style hotel.
