After my husband completed a really long and challenging job away from home, we wanted a quiet and relaxing get-away where we could do all the things we love. The Barnacle was just what the doctor ordered! The Keys have always been one of our favorite spots, but Big Pine is now our new favorite. The Barnacle's location, especially close...

Norm was a very hospitable host and his breakfasts were delicious. The crowe's nest was very comfortable and fitting for the two of us. The beach area was very accomadating with a couple of hammocks, beach chairs, outdoor grill, and an assortment of wildlife (key deer are very friendly and small, they'll just walk right down the beach in front...

We made a mistake. Not their fault. A very quiet, secluded, beach house. Very laid back, very basic and very 'hippy'. Just not what we were looking for yet everything written about it is true. The guy running the place, Norm couldn't be more welcoming if he tried. Nothing was too much trouble and he was sociable without being intrusive....

My new wife and I chose this b&b because of the closeness to all the things we wanted to do and see. Neither of us have ever been as pampered as we were by the manager. Breakfast was always terrific and anything wanted was promptly done. Our room was comfortable and the outdoor shower was a blast. We stayed for...

Our first day at the Barnacle was also the first day for the new owners and management. Based on some of the past reviews, it seems the old management had no idea what they were doing, and totally let the place go. I'm hear to tell you that the Barnacle is now in fantastic hands and I would encourage you...

We went to the Keys to relax...period. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We could have enjoyed the entire week-long trip without ever leaving the property. Our room was comforable (the Tarpon), though not at all fancy. Small fridge in the room, shower with a large rain-type head, queen bed, and sofa. The free breakfast was good...

We wanted to see the key deer and only had one night to spare whilst travelling back from Key West, so I called around a couple of the accomodations in the area, but this was the only one that could do 1 night only. I did however check out this bed and breakfast on trip advisor and from the other...

Reasonable B&B in a quite beautiful location, Bill the host cooks a mean breakfast and is good host, however B&B its self is a tad tired and rough around the edges & the nightly plague of mosquitoes make the outside in our view unusable. Crows nest is a quirky room, well fitted but again a little on the tired side,...

Bill (manager) greeted us warmly when we arrived. His breakfast variety daily was a treat. The B&B sits right along the atlantic ocean. The key deer are everywhere, and were fun to watch and interact with. The state park beach at Bahia honda key was awesome. Half hour drive to keywest, or marathon. easy to find. If you are looking...
