It is a long walk in the hot weather. I would suggest driving. We drove to the beach from buttonwood area because of all of our chairs, sun shelter, etc.

Site 47 is a decent site. It is located in the Buttonwood camping area. An easy walk to the boat ramp, store and beach as well as sunset wall. The showers in this area are large with several stalls. There is also an... More

It is hot but the water is there to cool off in. As far as the tent there are battery operated fans you can buy to put in the tent. Its beautiful and very worth a visit!!
