You can tell that the Brighton Suites was a traditional garden-apartment beach hotel at one point, but the owners have done a great job of updating it. The rooms are refreshed with a lovely gray/teal beach theme, and everything was clean and well-cared for. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable, and the pull-out bed was great for the kids. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, and everything was easy. My one complaint (and there's not much they can do about this) is that the parking garage is so old and small that spaces are incredibly tight. If you come in with an SUV, get ready for the fun of trying to find a space that will accommodate your vehicle AND allow you to get out of the car. :) The hotel provides quality beach chairs and towels, so you can save yourself some packing space...maybe bring a smaller car so you can park it. The walk to the beach is short and quite doable, and you are so close to the boardwalk and restaurants. Great place - we'll be back!…
Enjoyed our stay. Close to beach and Main Street. Employees did their best to accommodate us. The only problem was the parking. We were there in the middle of June and they were sold out on all 3 nights we stayed. The parking garage has 2 floors. One at ground level snd one below. They promised free parking, however you had to be in early to get a spot that you could easily fit in. There was an attendant to direct you, however for the most part they did not give directions or tell you of the rules of where you could park. These rules should accompany your checkin. The desk people were helpful. The one garage attendant did his best to aid the situation by giving the rules. Dim cleared the situation and made it understandable why the situation was the way it was. This should be done at the front desk at checkin. The room was clean and the room was what we expected except for the fact you could hear every word from the next room. The parking situation was so confusing that we not stay again.…
The hotel was clean and walking distance to the board walk, also close to restaurants and shops. The room has a microwave, fridge which helps when you don’t want to dine indoors and do take out. Beach chairs and towels are provided. There is a pool but no gym on-site, however they do provide free passes to a local gym nearby. The location is not on the boardwalk but is actually better because of the noise.
I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very clean and the rooms were a decent size and came with tv’s, a fridge , and microwave. The building itself is a little outdated. For example the ceilings in our room was falling out of place near the bathroom and we could hear everything our neighbors on either side did. Also, the pool ruined my bathing suit and my hair. There are so many chemicals it is absolutely ridiculous. My navy bathing suit is now grey, and my hair was so knotted and nasty I had to wash it 5+ times until it felt normal again. Other than that it was a great stay and I would recommend, but the pool was definitely a downfall.
Shame on them. Being a veteran just now getting surgery after a wait of six years , I needed a wheelchair parking place. My very kind friend tried to explain to a gentleman with limited English and a person who screams at you that we needed the orange cones removed so that we could park. After a ridiculous affront and a large tip for him for his help , over a walkie talkie , he is being screamed at to deny us entrance. Whilst this is going on , some ponytailed blond woman was screaming at us from a distance away that we were not allowed to park in the lot because it was for tall work vehicles. I have 30 photos showing this was not true that this lot is only work or tall vehicles. I have photos to show that the lower level “ wheelchair “ parking does not allow a car door to be opened wide enough for the walker and a thoughtlessly engineered ramp to the elevator. This is a totally unexpected review me for to write being a professional writer with a million patrons a day, but hurting due to their mistreatment, I had to let my readers know their harmful opinion of us in need MUST be noted. This is being reported to Gov. Carney’s office. And to think his office recommended this place!…
