Stayed here briefly while on a layover. To start the entire motel had a nonfunctioning AC unit, with the heat turned on in each unit. After letting the room door stay open for a bit, things cooled down. I requested a nonsmoking room, only to be told that there were none. I accepted this and went to my "just cleaned"... More

This was my second time staying here, i pulled in here for a nights rest after a long day of driving, I stayed here Dec 23, 2011 Yes, you do have to give your information to a security guard, before you check in, it is not the greatest area, I assume that this help keep undesirables out. I did see... More

While trying to decide whether to try this motel or the other el-cheapo one across the street, we saw a steady stream of shady characters walking around and congregating at the nearby convenience store. Once in the motel, we noticed the large armed guard, who said that we would need to present id's to stay there. He was actually nice,... More

I consider this motel a good value overall. I have stayed here numerous times over the last year and have had very few complaints. I was surprised by the number of people complaining about the security guard and id requirement, as this is one of the best features of the motel. The location is unfortunately not a good part of... Pulled over after driving all night from Maine on our way to Maryland. It was 2:30 a.m. and we were desperate and exhausted. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman at the desk and an equally friendly security guard. The room was scary. My husband dead bolted it and pushed a chair up against the door just in case. This... I've stayed at many Motel6 hotels over the years. This is by FAR the singular WORST one. A Motel6 is not supposed to be luxury accommodations, but this one was like a staying in a slum tenement for the night. First off, despite being in a fairly decent area by the looks of things, there was a security guard who... More

I did not stay at this hotel. However, I check into it for some other guys who were attending the same conference as me. This place is very run down. Before you can enter the lobby you must give photo ID to the uniformed police officer. He then sneaks outside to write down your license plate number. He even demanded... More

We decided it would be a good place to stay because the location was the half way point of our trip. I've stayed in Motel 6's many times before but the fact that both of us had to show ID before we could enter the property should have been enough of a sign to turn around. There were people yelling... More

After a long days drive, I needed a place to rest and found this motel because it was the first one I saw after crossing the bridge into Delaware. I was surprised with having the guard check my id before I was able to check in, but the way I saw it , at least they are trying to make... More

I am male, 32, and I was traveling with my 26 year old brother. I chose this motel 6 as a place to sleep as it is a half-way point between my home in CT and family in VA, and of course, it is also somewhat cheap (about $55). As the other reviewer wrote, I was kind of surprised by... More
