Great beach hotel! Walk to the beach was so quick, less than a block. Clean rooms and they give you plenty of towels. They have a shower to rinse or in when you come back to the beach and a great pool for a salt-free dip. I have stayed here twice and loved it both times. Highly recommend for couples and families.

Hotel's Favourite
My family usually goes to OCMD for our yearly family, but given the state of the world right now, we opted for the smaller and less commercial/crowded Dewey Beach. We chose Beach House Dewey based on its private room entrances (to limit contact with others), reasonable price, and proximity to the beach, and were pleasantly surprised! The rooms were decorated wonderfully; we also loved the laminate floors as opposed to carpet, and the inclusion of a full length mirror in the room! Most hotels don't have this and it was greatly appreciated! The beds were comfortable and the TV was larger than I expected; also appreciated since this year we spent more time in the room than other years, again due to the pandemic. The inclusion of a little bistro style table and chairs was perfect for when we ordered takeout to eat in the room! The staff was friendly, and the ocean wasn't any further away than when we stay on the boardwalk in OCMD! Thank you so much for this wonderful getaway during these uncertain times; it's truly appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Dewey!

I can not say enough about the wonderful front desk and this facility. We checked in an due to some health conditions , they moved us to first floor. Our room was clean and suited us well. Great location and walking distance to anything we needed. I would like to thank them for making my vacation a great one.

I stayed here with my family for a long weekend in July 2021. We were impressed by the great reviews on Trip Advisor. People rave about the Beach House Dewey. In a moment, I'll explain why I wonder about the sincerity and reality of all the reviews. Clearly the owner is a social media savvy guy and I hope he won't reply to THIS review (as he did to another negative review) by accusing me of being a fraudster from a rival hotel. I assure you I am not. We were in room 212--a dank room with no view. First the positive. The location is GREAT. Steps from restaurants and clubs and an easy walk to a great beach. There's a retro dive right adjacent that served up one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I have had in years. The small pool, situated directly next to the parking lot, seemed clean. The staff was not unfriendly but I wouldn't characterize them as exceptionally "welcoming" either. (Admittedly, the only time we saw anybody affiliated with the motel was in the office when we checked in or needed an extra key.) Before explaining why we will not be returning, let me make a quick point. Having stayed in cheap and expensive hotels all over the world, I do not hold places like Beach House Dewey to an unfair standard. It's not the Ritz Carlton and that is okay. It's not trying to be the Ritz Carlton nor does it need to be. It's a relatively inexpensive motel off the strip of a relatively inexpensive beach town. I have nothing against the place and I wish them well. But I feel compelled to write this review because of what I see as an unfair representation of the place's true quality here on Trip Advisor. Do not pay more than $300 for Beach House Dewey unless you have no other options. It is not worth it. First off, the property is not especially clean. We stepped over the same discarded cigarattes time and again climbing the outdoor concrete steps to our room on the second floor. Likewise the room was not very clean. There was a squashed raisin (or something) in the middle of the rug. There were unrecognizable hairs in the shower area and the bathroom had an unpleasant sour smell to it. The windows were "beach grimy." There was a colony of dead ants behind the dresser as well as what I assume to be ant traps places along a different baseboard. And unlike what you'd expect from a hotel charging $300 bucks/night, there is no daily maid service. (Again, it is what it is. Just don't expect more than you'll get.) Furnishings in the room were adequate. Room 212 has two full beds with very hard mattresses. I occasionally sleep on my side and was really uncomfortable. There is no closet but there were a bunch of cute dog tail "hooks" on a wall nearby (though most of them fall off if you put anything on them). The micro-fridge (college dorm style) is a nice touch. The A/C worked well though as others have noted, it is quite loud and blasts the person in the closest bed. In conclusion, I have stayed in worse places. But for the $300-$400 prevailing room rates here, you can definitely do better. We left a night early despite having fully paid for the room.
