Stopped for lunch as we usually do on the way to our cottage in the lakes. The new look since the flooding is a real benefit - lighter, well designed. Menu was really good, particularly the gluten free menu. Gluten free sticky toffee pudding was a result!

We stayed at the Watermill on Wed 12th Oct. We had a double room up in the attic with low beams. Extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant and they were always asking if we wanted anymore. The real Ale selection at the bar in the evening was outstanding, with 10 Ales brewed on premises and more guest Ales....

Four friends looking for an early evening meal before driving back to Lancashire. Been several times before and never disappointed - and this was as good. The top bar has been refurbished since we last visited while the great range of beers and choice of wine is simply superb. Looking at the main menu and the specials board we were...

Called on our way back from Inverness after searching trip advisor for good restaurants near the Windermere area, to break our journey up. We were not disappointed, my fiancé's fish platter was excellent and my 'watermill chicken' was beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone...such a down to earth inn. Shame we live so far away but will certainly bear in...

The pub has been nicely refurbished after flooding by storm Desmond. Excellent range of own brew beers. Dog friendliness is good if you have one but not so good when the canines are exploring the dining area.We had mixed opinions of the food. My steak & ale pie had lots of tasty meat and gravy but only a small amount...

Great food, excellent choice of beers. Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly which is a bonus. Going to book an overnight stay so we can sample more of the brews. Downside not a lot of parking space. Well worth a visit.

More of a motel than hotel but dog friendly and with a great range of beers brewed in the Inn. The food was good and they were all very friendly. A good place to stop over and explore the local area and Windemere. There is a petrol station in the village of Ings with a free cashpoint. Free wifi is...

We stopped off on our way south and were very happy with our meals. Fresh and adequate for us both with a great selection of foods and drink. We will be back next time. Staff were friendly and a nice touch to see into the brewery.
