I had stayed here before but it’s been a while so I had some apprehension seeing on their website that the hotel has recently been sold. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was modern, attractive and very clean. Beds and bedding were very comfortable, and the shower was great! Refrigerator in the room was convenient. There was some highway noise even on a high floor but it wasn’t significant. Staff were courteous, competent and eager to help. The “bistro” had good food options and a pleasant seating area. The parking garage seemed very secure, and the parking payment coupon from the hotel worked easily. It’s the best location for visiting downtown Waterbury, which also seems relatively clean and safe. We took a walk and met a police officer who told us that security cameras and police presence do make those few blocks very safe. Diorio’s restaurant which is conveniently accessible from inside the hotel is temporarily closed. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.…
They don't even provide housekeeping unless you request it by midnight the day before. What the hell are you charging these insane rates for, then? People are asleep at midnight and not pondering their housekeeping needs. How much trouble is it to just add a room first thing in the morning? Scam artists.
Dont stay unless you want to risk items being stolen from locked rooms…I stayed at the Waterbury Courtyard in September 2021. My expensive MacBook, camera, and electronics were stolen out of my locked room. Employees had given me keys and access to a room I was not on file for being in, which I assume was their plan. When I came back my items were gone. Hotel had me in another room on another floor yet my clothes were in the other room. Unless it was planned by staff members, I never would’ve gained access into the wrong room. There are no cameras on any of the floors which I’m sure these scammers knew. The hotel basically said there’s nothing they can do and neither can marriot. They took no liability and I am simply out thousands. Don’t stay unless you want to run the risk of having your items stolen from your locked room.…
Cafe was too high priced . Choices of beer was not very varied. Staff was good. Toilet run almost all night. Parking extra charge shouldn't happen. I guess downtown isn't very safe. Extra fee for data is wrong in 2021. We will think twice before we stay again.
This property was nicely upgraded since the last time i had stayed there a few years ago. I used the laundry on site. There were enough washers and dryers. Reasonably priced. A decent little store section for snacks and beverages. An enjoyable stay. Very friendly staff ready to assist. The only drawback was having to pay to park in the garage next door. No parking on site. Comfortable clean room.
We stayed the Courtyard by Marriott Waterbury Downtown over Columbus Day weekend in 2020. We originally booked a room with a King Bed and, upon arrival, were upgraded to a top floor (11th) suite which was huge: It had a living room with kitchenette (stove, microwave, sink with disposal, fridge, and plates, flatware, and pots and pans), plus a desk, sofa, and TV. The bedroom had a king size bed, TV, desk, sofa and two closets. There were two full bathrooms (one with tub, one with walk-in shower) and both rooms had a wall of windows overlooking the surrounding hills. The room was contemporary and quiet (couldn't hear neighbors)...and our room (1121) was at the end of the hall. Lobby staff was friendly. Funnily, I was traveling with my husband (same sex marriage) and the front desk clerk was repeatedly apologetic that the suite only had one bed instead of two. We stressed that we're okay with that but she still offered that the sofa is also a sofa bed. Bless her heart. Parking was in a neighboring garage for $2/hour (or $12 for 24 hours). The location is downtown, which was very much (and eeriliy) deserted on the holiday weekend.…
I travel quite frequently for work. After a horrendous commute which took an additional two hours, I arrived tired and run down with only 1 hr to get to work. I was met at the front desk by Carlin Holness and Felix Rodriguez with big smiles and eager to help my day get better. Carlin realized that I was exhausted and enlisted Tiffany Wilson in sales to assist. They upgraded my stay, Felix helped with my luggage. It is so refreshing to see that great customer service exist and all I did was mention I had a rough day. Highly recommend this place but honestly I feel like I could’ve been in a run down cabin...these three folks would make it 5 star in a minute!
It seems like this hotel has recently been updated as the lobby is very nice and the rooms are modern and trendy. My husband had a work trip so I joined and spent a full day at the hotel working remotely. The lobby/lounge space is very nice, along with the business center. We ate breakfast and lunch from the cafe in the lobby and the food was really good and the servers were super friendly. Would recommend!
This is my hotel of choice whenever I come back to visit my daughter at school. The staff is always so friendly, they make great drinks with a smile at the bar, and Carlin Holness always goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great stay!
I can’t say enough positive things about how I have been treated here. Great place to stay and great staff. If you are fortunate enough to have Carlin Holness take care of you at the front desk then you will understand what I mean. Keep up the great work!!!!
