I stopped in for a quick dessert on my way back to New York and I couldn't be more amazed! The staff allowed me to view some of the property and there is so much to offer! there are some trails if you would like a small hike along some streams, an amazing tavern, beautiful spa, stunning library, a priceless...

This has long been a destination for those who love the CT countryside leavened with luxury food, rooms, and a truly world class spa. I've been coming here for 10 years, and though the hotel has changed hands twice, they have retained its crown jewel, the wonderful spa and its services. Amongst the treatments I think are the best are...

It USED to be a reasonably good restaurant; and it's one we frequented at least monthly (we're weekenders in Washington). But the amateur service, and poor quality of the food leaves it much below the level of an average roadside diner. Despite the managers assurances that they're "working on it", this was our last attempt (at least 5 times) to...

Didn't stay at the Mayflower this trip but decided to take a drive over for lunch. Gorgeous property. Great views from Tap Room. Nice selections on the lunch menu with wines to compliment. Will definitely go back to spend a few nights.

We love going to the Mayflower for a luxurious quick getaway, but had not been there since the change in ownership. While this is still a very special destination in a beautiful location, at this level of pricing, it needs to be close to perfect... and there were some gaffs. The spa is still pristine and truly one of the...

Dear Barbeque, Thank you for graciously taking a moment to share these most recent stay comments with us. Though happy to know that you enjoyed our spa, dining room decor and location, we're greatly disappointed and do apologize for the rooms exceptions noted and service challenges you experienced. Your belief in our product, service and value proposition is terribly important...

This is great for a winter getaway. Beautiful room with old books and fireplaces, wonderful food and superb spa amenities. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. The property is pristine and in a beautiful part of CT. Can't wait to go back!

Had brunch recently at The Mayflower Grace. I had a Cesar salad with chicken which was average at best. Others at our table had the burger which looked great and was accompanied by fries - about 6 of them! Service was not good at all. Had a cup of coffee which was never refilled and at the end of the...

Dear EastCoastMomNY, Thank you for bringing to our attention the areas where we unfortunately fell short of our own high standards and your expectations. I've had a few experiences staying at Grace properties and many more experiences dining at them. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience. My expectations are always high and they are almost always exceeded. The Mayflower Grace is no exception. On my first visit this winter the attentive hotel staff, and gracious GM, met every need. They went...

It pains me to write this, as my husband and I have frequented the Mayflower several times and almost exclusively stay at Relais and Chateaux properties as they are always top notch. We are the parents of two young children and we had planned to stay at the Mayflower for a couple of nights in the middle of the week...

Just came back from a most fun weekend with six friends. It is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were incredible and so luxurious. The service also was stellar. Unfortunately the food however needs major improvement, (think thats being worked on). It is a really really elegant place, different league then say Canyon Ranch but also very expensive. I would go back...
