We stayed here for 3 nights the beginning of June to attend a birthday and Christening. We could not have had better service from our arrival to departure. Our room was ready upon check in 3PM. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. Once to our room we found it very clean, roomy and with comfortable furnishings. There is an area where breakfast is served with hot and cold menu items. This however is not a complimentary breakfast. The outside courtyard was very spacious with comfortable seats. There is a shopping area about 4 miles down the road with many restaurants and stores. While here we were joined by 8 other family members for the weekend, and all seemed please as well with their accommodations.
Per usual, our welcome was top notch: Greeted by name, asked how we've been doing, etc. We were upgraded to a suite on the first floor (the room was ready for us), but I wanted to be on the second or third floor. No problem - a quick 20 minutes later and we were moving into the room. The suite was very comfortable - King bed, TV in bedroom; couch, TV, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker in the living room. The place was immaculate - including the bathroom. We stopped by the Bistro for a cocktail before heading to see family - and the manager, Dino, joined us for a chat. Unbelievably friendly! Special thanks to Michelle, Mia (the cat lady), and Jerrell for making us feel so welcomed. We'll return here, for sure.
I knew I was going to be staying in the Wallingford or North Haven area two weeks prior to Christmas to visit my family so I shopped around. I wanted to stay at a hotel that was the best rate but also that would have the best service and make me the most comfortable. This hotel proved to be really nice with a staff that was extremely accommodating. The room was clean and anytime I needed it to be cleaned it was done. Fantastic staff with every call I had to make to the front desk and including check-in and check-out. I would definitely recommend.
Great 1-night stay! Clean, safe, friendly staff. (Thanks Michele and Terel). Breakfast and Starbucks available. Easy on/off route 91, Room was great, clean, comfortable, would definitely stay here again! Room was very comfortable and quiet.
I booked this hotel and room on a family road trip because of its location, and the website said it had space for 4 people. For (after tax) $309 a night, it was way below my expectations. Even though the lobby has been updated and renovated, the rest of the hotel keeps the same look and feel from what is probably the 60's, with the red and yellow theme everywhere. The bathtub was clean, but the drain was obviously rusty. The sofa bed was pretty narrow, that I'm not sure if it was as wide as a full bed. Certainly it was not enough to have two people sleep comfortably. The mattress was thin and flat, looking quite old. She sheets had to specifically be requested from the front desk. Even though the room was listed as a king bed and sofa bed for 4 people, the king was smaller than I expected. There were only enough towels for 2. They did take care to clean the air conditioning filter, which I've often seen neglected in other hotels. Basically, the lobby looks like it could be a $250/night hotel, but the room I got was at best a $89/night room. Definitely not worth the $309 I spent that night. Every other Comfort Inn I've stayed at was more comfortable.…
I was born in Wallingford, and usually stay here. Sadly I was only able to book for one night, but was very happy to spend it in a favorite hotel. My room was clean, comfortable, and the management takes Covid-19 very seriously. As usual I was impressed, and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to my hometown.
This hotel was in a convenient location and easy to get to. It looks like every other courtyard marriot with similar lobby designs, Starbucks, expensive bar, and rooms that always look the same. The rooms were clean and the hotel front desk workers were all very helpful. The common lounge made it easy to socialize with friends in other rooms. My only complaint was the noise. These walls are thin and you can hear everything from conversations to people showing in rooms both next door and above your room.
One night stay and it was a great time. Check in easy with front desk staff member quick and efficient. King room over looking the courtyard. Sofa bed added extra space. We didn’t have time for the gym or pool, but nice to know that it was available to us. We brought in food from the area, so we didn’t take advantage of the Starbucks on premise. A wedding party was also staying at the hotel, but we didn’t hear any noice in the hallway. Great stay!
It was very nice stay, its a sparkling clean room, fresh smell from sheets and towels. Mattress is very nice and everything is well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for 1 night, while visiting family in the area. Check in is 3:00 but as a Marriott member, we were able to check in early. The Room, reception area, and bistro where all very clean. The workers I talked to at the reception desk were very helpful. One made us a coffee and tea at the closed bistro. The 1st one we talked to tried (unsuccessfully) to get us a room for a future date that showed no occupancy. We'll stay here again.
