We stayed in the Elizabeth Room which was very nice with its own bathroom. Room was very clean and the hosts Carol and Ted were very friendly and informative about the house's history and the local area. The breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent and they even made special gluten free pancakes for my wife.

I made a reservation, then for unforeseen reasons I had to cancel.. I was sent two (2) emails stating that my reservation was cancelled and I would NOT be charged. I received my cc bill and I was charged. I call them twice and and Carol, the owner finally got back to me and said they would not credit the...

My husband and I randomly chose Captain Grant's over 15 years ago, and we were not disappointed. We have been staying at this wonderful B & B since, and have never given even a thought to staying anywhere else. The inn itself is beautiful and rich in history. Ted and Carol the innkeepers are so friendly and truly make you...

Well I booked this place on another site got a confirmation from booking. Com and then receive a call from the owner telling me I CAN'T BOOK ONE NIGHT IN JULY. Why did I get a confirmation? I had customer service call them ( was told to stay on the line) and was told by Tena ( very professional) that...

I apologized repeatedly to this man but to no avail. This is what happened to us during the week that he booked with booking.com. The date he wanted in June had been full for at least a couple of weeks. It is a special weekend drawing hundreds to the Mohegan Sun Casino. We are less than 3 miles from the...

Not knowing what to buy for my 90 year old mother for Christmas this year, my husband decided that we would together coordinate a overnight stay (he stayed home with our son) for my mother and I to spend some quality time together at Foxwood casino.. ..have dinner, do a little gambling, shopping, etc. We chose Captain Grants B&B as...

We visited the B&B on 10/24 for one night. Ted and Carole were gracious hosts. Afternoon snacks were left on the table, which were delicious. The morning breakfast consisted of ham, eggs, and pancakes. The location is great as well. It is six miles from Foxwoods and near the CT wineries. We also were able to take a morning jog....

On October 23,2015, my self, husband and 2 other couples stayed overnight at Captain Grant's. We were interested in the ghostly tales of the place. We were met by owner,Ted. He helped carry our bags. He then gave us a tour of the lovely downstairs. It is cozy and appointed with beautiful antiques. He pointed out the wine, beer, soda,...

I spent two nights here. Ted and Carol are very sweet and thoughtful. They add special touches that other B&Bs that I've stayed at simply do not. They left a cake, cookies and a variety of drinks for their guests to partake of as they wish. Carol went out of her way to make sure that I had something to...

My husband and I plus another couple spent one night at this bed and breakfast. Our room was more money than in the main house but was near the street. Even with the sound machine provided, it was noisy. We found the rooms in general to be just okay and the breakfast not up to par. To summarize, not the...
