We were so glad we made the drive to Moville in Donegal and that we found Trean House. We have done a LOT of traveling and this has to be of of the nicest places we have stayed. Trean House sits on 100 acres with 300 sheep and overlooks the water. There are apple trees, cherry trees, red and black...

My husband and I spent three nights at the Trean House and absolutely loved it! The room was spacious and homey. The grounds were beautiful. The pets, Spike and Finn, were wonderful hosts! The owners were kind and warm. We would return without hesitation!

Upon arrival at Trean House B & B we were warmly welcomed by Joyce Norris who, once we moved into our room, served us coffee, cookies, and delicious, miniature tarts. This farmhouse, over 100 year old, was surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and a wonderful view of the surrounding area. We must mention the two very friendly dogs who always...

After having spent a night in Trean House at the end of last summer, we went back recently, but for 3 nights this time. Trean is a large farmhouse on a working farm located in a small valley that opens onto the Atlantic on the NE coast of the Inishowen peninsula, a few miles South of Culdaff – an ideal...

We (a family of four) stayed at Trean House for two nights on a recent short break in Donegal and I would thoroughly recommend it. Joyce and Mervyn are lovely, friendly people and the house and rooms are attractive, cosy and very clean. We stayed in the family room (double bed and two singles, ensuite), which was perfect for us...

We found this little gem by accident really and we are glad we did. Lovely relaxing atmosphere down a quiet lane, which makes you feel miles from anywhere. However a 20 minute drive gets you to a choice of towns for good food and bars. We sat around the lovely open fire with some tea and cakes int he evening...

From the minute you walk in and Joyce welcomes you with a cuppa and home made scones, you know you have made the right choice. The room was spotless, bed comfortable and breakfast, excellent. The only downside was the heating was not enough and no television in the room, there was one in the lounge, but that was the only...

Joyce met us at the door with her Irish Setter, Finn and 14 year old Spike. We had recently lost our dog, so this was perfect for us! She knew we had driven a long way and served us a pot of tea in their den--thank you! We settled in, then the dogs took us to the beach, only a...

We really enjoyed the easyness of booking our stay, the adventure of finding the Trean House in the dark, the friendliness of the amazing farm dogs who hosted us to one of the tours of the area others have mentioned, the coziness of the lounge... complete with peat fire... the comfort of the tea offered when we settled in to...

My sister in law and I just returned from a 7-night stay at the lovely Trean House. It was absolutely perfect! Joyce and Mervyn are wonderful hosts. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable; the breakfast is hearty and delicious; the living space is comfy and cozy and the price is more than reasonable. It is a lovely walk down...
