Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for the atmosphere of a B & B. Comfortable, warm & welcoming from the homemade treats to the fireplaces. You're made to feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Patty gave us the little 'tour' so we knew exactly where things were and what was available. We were...

My recent stay at the Deacon Timothy Pratt Bed and Breakfast checked off everything I wanted in a romantic getaway with my boyfriend. We stayed there from Mar. 18 - Mar. 20. We took Amtrak to Old Saybrook and called the B&B once there. Patty was exceptional! She picked us up (even though the B&B is a quick 10 minute...

My girlfriend and I spent 2-nights in The Gambrel room and I couldn't have wished for a more romantic weekend. We visited the many nearby shops and restaurants in walking distance and strolled down to Saybrook Point for lunch by the water. The hosts at Deacon Timothy are kind and knowledgable. The room was spotless. This is a quick and...

My girlfriend and I spent 2-nights in the Grambel room and it was perfect, you couldn't imagine a more romantic weekend. Excellent staff, clean rooms, plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance. For New Yorkers; Book your stay, take Amtrak from Penn Station, and prearrange a pick up at the station from the Deacon Timothy staff. It's that simple....

A dozen of us stayed here for the night of the Oscar party at The Kate, which is a walkable distance from this great B&B. We got an off-season rate (not a group rate, since several people made a last-minute decision about attending) which was extraordinary, although I would have been happy even if it had been 50% higher. All...

My girlfriend and I had a great weekend stay here and used this as a base for exploring the area on foot. The B&B is centrally located between the train station and the sea so wether you choose to turn left onto Main Street and visit the cafes and pubs or right towards the water, you can just walk the...

My sister and I chose this B&B because it looked so delightful and we weren't disappointed. In fact, we were absolutely delighted with our well-appointed room called The Suite in this historic home built in 1746. Beth, innkeeper and pastry chef, and Lynn took such good care of us and our room was always in white glove condition. The house...

If you are looking for a historic property to sleep in and don't mind uneven floors or steep stairs, then this is the place for you. The staff is very friendly and the room was very clean. I was not too impressed, however, with the room we stayed in--the "Chimney Room". The chimney literally is in the room, making it...

We stayed here for three nights (group of about 15) on a cycling trip. It is old and historic, so as expected not everything was modernized. One building does not have central air, and when we had over 90 degree days, the rooms could have been a little cooler. But it is quaint, charming, and the staff were terrific. They...

The people were great at this bed and breakfast; very friendly. The room we stayed in (The Suite - 2nd floor) was just okay compared to other places we've stayed. The air conditioner is too small for the room so the room was warm during our stay (July 2015); we did request a fan which they had. Also, the bathroom...
