This is a must visit for a drink, a meal or a stay in a room. It is charming, yummy and the setting it lovely. We love the happy hours with music as we live nearby. The town of old Lyme and Lyme is a beautiful place to visit. There is so much to do there and in surrounding quaint...

My husband and I went here for one night to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We were greeted at the door, wished happy anniversary and told that my dad had paid for our night. In our room they had left a nice anniversary message and a box of chocolates. Very friendly folks and the comforter was DIVINE. We had meant to...

Have been to this restaurant several times. Excellent service. Good food, although a bit pricey. Restaurant is part of the B&B. Have never stayed there. We like the relaxed environment. Overall, I recommend it.

This hotel has a busy restaurant and when we arrived the staff were really too busy to welcome us correctly. Although it was only September and the hotel was nowhere near full, we were put in small rooms on the first floor with dirty windows, dirty, old fashioned radiators and poky bathrooms. The rooms were absolutely freezing and when we...

I went to see Rod Washburn at the Listening Room in the Bee and Thistle and it was wonderful! The Bee and Thistle is just beautiful with the perfect lighting, lovely decor, yummy food and the most fabulous cocktails :) Rod's voice and guitar sounded wonderful and along with the candlelight created a magical retreat. It was my first time...

We attended the New Year's Eve Dinner and Dance with friends. We had a nice time. The food was good and the wine was great at a good price! We went last year to Old Saybrook Point Inn for New Year's Eve and it was a very different experience. At the Bee and Thistle, the customers were very polite and...

We booked a room here as a birthday night away, and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. The first thing we saw walking up to the Inn's door was groups of friends and families relaxing in front of the fireplaces. Walking in, we were instantly greeted with a smile and friendly welcoming. While she took our...

Its been years since we were there, when a friend suggested it I thought "wonderful idea". We were seated at a good table right away. Then the waiting started... 45 min later salads had not arrived. We asked for more bread, That took awhile. We were told there were 2 large parties (10 and 12 guests) ahead of us. Our...

Evening meal excellent plus good and pleasant service. paricularly since the table d'hote was brought to our attention.Room was adequate but not properly cleaned; hairgrips on floor and windows really quite dirty. The bathroom was really small and very difficult for a six foot man to shower. It was more like a cupboard. We came down for breakfast at about 9...

My daughter’s wedding at the Inn was a splendid occasion. The wedding site, down a lawn to a scenic waterway, is a peaceful place for a ceremony. With flowers and guest seating, it was lovely. We then had a champagne toast, specialty cocktails, and passed appetizers under a magnificent old tree. The dinner was outstanding. It was a gourmet three...
