8 nights if hotels and all were excellent until we got to this one. Rude person at desk to dirty smelly accomodations and horrible what they called breakfast. Trash in hall and overflowing at trash cans. Dark hallways and scary stairwell. I would never have thought a place like this existed. Not sure where the good reviews came from but honestly I have never did this before but please make this ownerclean up his place dirty sheets to dirty bathrooms you name it our group had it. We were a group a normal everyday people not expecting granduer but we did expect it to be clean. I slept with a towel under my head. I dont want anyone else to go through this.

Our room smelled awful!! The window was unlock, curtain was falling down on one side, found trash, and pills on floor. The bathtub and floor was dirty. There was mold in the bathroom too. We went to CVS to get Lysol and Clorox wipes to clear our room. We didn't eat breakfast there. The outside trash cans were over flowing with trash. The power went out. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The worst place that I have ever stayed…was with a group of 50 people on a trip. My room was on 4th floor..since I don’t like elevators I use the steps which was so dark, scary, smelled like urine and had trash bags sitting in corners. I was scared to go on the steps by myself. Hallways were dark and smelled of smoke, room smelled bad also, floors were not clean, bathroom floor was dirty, comforter was dirty and trash cans out front were over flowing with trash. We went across road to CVS to get Lysol and Clorox wipes to sanitize the room. People in and out all hours of the night making noise in the hallway. Did not eat the breakfast!! Lobby smelled bad also..our group was not welcomed and were treated bad!! Windows were unlocked in some of the rooms. Will never stay here again!! Would not be safe for a family!!

This hotel is unacceptable. Carpet in the room was dirty needed vacuumed. Air was not very cool. Called front desk 3 separate times and did not get an answer. Hallways were dark with very little lighting. Stairwell area was as well. Went to the lobby to the vending area and the vending was almost empty of any items. There were numerous males in the lobby repeatedly going out and in of the hotel. Unsure of what they were doing as they never had anything that was being carried in or out. The same was going on at the elevators constantly getting on and off. I waited until I could be the only one on the elevator before I got on because I felt unsafe as a female. This was going on at approximately 10:00 at night. We were on the third floor and it reeked of pot in the hallways. Power went out at 2:30 am and stayed off for 40 minutes and that made me a little nervous as well. I would not stay here again. There were sirens and drag racing on the road in front of the hotel during the night as well. This city is number 11 in regards to the crime rate in Connecticut. Pass on by and go to another town.

The worst ! I travel with a motorcoach group all over the US & I have never experienced a hotel like this one. I knew we were in trouble the minute we drove in. The outside of the hotel had 3 garbage cans running over , several people gathered outside smoking . Were not allowed to use bathrooms in lobby . Rooms were nasty , some had dirty sheets that had been slept on , rips in the bedding, rips in the curtains, mold in bathrooms , hairs in the tub & on the floor , vomit on the wall , a/c didn't work in some of the rooms , vomit left in the bathroom sink , hair dryers didn't work , no extra outlets for c-pap machines or phone chargers , wallpaper torn off the wall, loose toilet seats , smell of pot & cigarettes in the hallways , dirty , dingy hallways with very lighting . noise in the hallways until after midnight . broken closet doors , the list just goes on & on . This hotel should be shut down by the health department . Also we would that crime in this area is rated 11 out of 15 . I urge you to stay away for health & safety issues.

Both sheer curtains had long rips. Comforter had a rip and holes. Sheets, pillowcases, comforter and coverlet were dirty and stained. We requested clean sheets and they were also stained and felt old and worn out. Air conditioner was loud but served the purpose of covering the street noise. This was room 417 but was traveling with a tour group and heard many complaints about other rooms.

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. We were traveling with a group of over 50 people. What a nasty place this was. Multiple bags of trash were piled up in a corner when we stepped off the elevator. Our room had an strong unpleasant odor that made us cough and sneeze. The bathroom was dirty. Black mold was all around and in the tub. The floor behind the toilet was dirty. Our hairdryer didn't work and there were no wash clothes for us to use. Breakfast was not good. Stale muffins. The grounds were covered in trash and cigarette butts. I just have nothing positive to say about this hotel.

Late arrival due to a previously booked airbnb not having a front door. Hotel had room for our 4 night stay so it was booked. Keeping in mind I'm already out over $400 for the airbnb due to cancellation policy, I'm now adding over $500 for a non-cancellable stay at the Choice property. My bad. Should have done a single night and gone from there but onward to the events of the stay. First room 304 was a king suite. Upon entry, the room was freezing. Loved it. Set at 59F so obviously very strange but I love my room cold though I would never set it that low. Empty cleaning supplies left on the armoire in the bedroom. Interesting but ehhhh. Companion notes makeup kits in the bathroom. Now I'm in investigation mode. Drawers pulled out. Found packaged condom in the bedside table. Smudges noted on the comforter cover. Pulled back the comforter and noted sheets appear pressed into the mattress ... the embossed mattress pattern showed through (could have been comforter weight but under the circumstances ....). Decided to strip the bed so the top cover was pulled from the comforter and THERE it is .... a USED condom laying between the top cover and the comforter. To the front desk. Apologies issued as expected and next room (428) given. Temperature set high 70's as expected. Armoire door ripped off. Coffee splatters all over the window drapes and ceiling. Coffee maker missing the tray (I went back and stole the one from the first room which I still had keys for .... this detail is fun a little later). It's now nearly 11pm and we've been traveling for more than 18 hours so after a very careful inspection of the bed; this works. Bed is very comfortable. Next morning, companion overhears a hotel employee tell the front desk that there is something "funny" about 304. Obviously her ears perk up and she relays that to me. I decide it's time to talk with someone who may be more interested in the events of the previous evening and head to the front desk. Clerk is busy with a lady customer. Man is sitting in the lounge area looking rather annoyed. I stand aside as my intent is a quiet conversation. Another customer comes and goes as he attends to the lady. Now he turns his attention to me as they are finishing and asks if he can help. I tell him I'd like a word in private when he is done and I move to the other side of the desk as they finish. He asks her; "did I give you your room key?" Her response; "Not the new one. I still have the one for the other; room 304". Now I'm paying close attention. Meanwhile the disgruntled man sitting in the lounge comes over and hands a room key to the clerk. They take the new keys and head upstairs and it's my turn to tell the story. Obviously the clerk is appalled especially when it appears they reissued the same room without addressing the problems I relayed. He tells me they believe someone has a master key and is using the room ..... obviously he isn't clear on for what exactly but he says they will be looking at their video tape. Now when we took the second room the previous night, I was a bit annoyed at seeing a chicken bone laying outside the room door but hey, bags split, sometime aren't tied ... stuff happens. On the way back from talking with the front desk clerk, I point the bone out to the housekeeping gentleman. He gives the standard "ohhh I'm sorry" as he picks it up. I assure him it's no big deal; stuff happens. Here's where it becomes a big deal: later the next day I look across the hall and realize that chicken bone is laying by room 431. Now I'm pissed but it's late and we're leaving the next day. Headed downstairs the next morning to talk with the main manager before checkout as I had been told the previous evening that the head person would be there the next morning. Turns out the front desk clerk I talked with previously says he's the head manager. Okie dokie. He assures me it cannot be the same bone as housekeeping wouldn't do that. I assure him I've seen a huge list of things that hotel staff wouldn't do while I've been staying and I can promise him it is indeed the same bone. Not one time did I see a vacuum cleaner leave the housekeeping cart. Not once did I hear a vacuum cleaner running. On the third day, we could actually get to the ice machine without walking over the multiple bed linens that appeared to have been laid on the floor to absorb a leak (never saw a leak but that's the only thing I could come up with for at least 3 large comforter covers and / or sheets spread out for a distance of more than 10 feet and 4 feet wide on the only hallway to the machine). These were not picked up but on the last day were shoved in a pile against the wall so we didn't walk on them. Bottom line; we stole cleaning supplies to clean our room. Despite a non-smoking policy and initials at check-in regarding $250 for cleaning if evidence was found, there were multiple burn marks in the room. Toilet seat and microwave both had melted / char marks. Multiple carpet burns. The smell of marijuana was definitely present the first evening (kinda offended none was offered though). Multiple receptacle covers broken. Bedroom suite AC broken. There is a strange presence of long term guests here. Not a bad thing on the surface but odd when multiple women seem to know the front desk people by name and stop and chat about things that are obviously local happenings. I don't know if the hotel has opened its doors to under advantaged community folk who need a place or if they are providing a "service" area for compensated hookups (did I say that nicely enough?) but something is happening here and several employees know. Not all ... but there's some willful ignorance and it's made obvious they are more interested in the quiet apology and hurry on than addressing the thing that is killing what could be a nice place. If you want to have fun, go look around the 1st floor. It's VERY quiet and dark down there.

We stopped for four nights as part of our USA road trip First of all the check in was quick and the staff were very polite The lobby was nice and spacious but felt that the standard was not replicated through the entire hotel nothing major just needs some TLC maybe as the industry's just starting too come out of the covid 19 pandemic it will improve Just a few little thing like the outside of hotel need a good clean windows etc The room was clean but one of the rooms we had as part of our reservation was slightly dated Guests were slightly baffling too us I am not sure if they were paying guests or some part of a assisted living program due to displacement or something as some of them were there the time we were there and after talking too them outside it was as though they had been there some time We would stop here again but maybe just needs a bit of a fresh lick of paint and a bit more maintenance Cannot comment on breakfast as we always find a nice little independent bakery for donuts etc

Booked for two nights but left after 15 minutes. Filthy hallway rug, not even vacuumed. Odd smells. Bathroom floor was not clean. This is not a three star hotel and shouldn’t even be advertised as a Comfort Inn. I’ve been in run-down and dated hotels that were clean and comfortable. This was neither.

Dear Guest, On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you provided to make improvements to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for our guests in the future. It is 100% nonsmoking hotel and on guest folio all guest initial for not smoking inside. We do charge $250 penalty for smoking inside the hotel. We are doing our best for our guest to provide the best services. Our renovation project was stopped due to Covid-19 pandemic, hallway common area painting and tile flooring was done but carpet was delayed from manufacturing due to pandemic. Common area gets clean every day with Eco lab product but due to stain in the carpet it looks dirty. Our new carpet has just been delivered from manufacture and carpet renovation project is under way in next few weeks. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. Once again, we apologized any inconvenience with your stay.
