This place was great. We rented the Loon for a weekend for a group gathering. The cabin was huge, very clean and it superb condition. Plenty of sleeping spots, tons of seating (living room, dining, porch/outdoors), multiple bathrooms, nice kitchen. In hindsight, I wished I took some pics for this review. The Lansboro/Whalan area is so nice and scenic. It...

Love this place! The cabins are really nice - very clean and large with high end finishing s, and a log cabin feel. We stayed at the Willow - with 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, and a large kitchen and living room, as well as a great patio. Plenty of room for us - 5 adults! I also liked the...

We continue to go back here. It's clean, has everything we need, awesome owners, beautiful area, right on the Root River Trail. We visit during every season and love winters and holidays at Cedar Valley as well. We would not stay anywhere else when we decide to pack up our bikes and head north. I would give it at least...

Just like pictures on website. Just right for our gathering of 40. Facilities were excellent. Cabins were immaculate, well equiped and perfect for our event. WiFi worked great. All in our group were more than pleased. All rates, taxes and fees disclosed ahead of time so that there were no surprises at check-out. Staff were very available and helpful. Tubing...

Nice place to stay, but, very pricey for it also. Plus if you try to cancel out of reservation, you will be charged the full amount, so do not do so. If you want anything more than pie (excellent place in town), you will need to bike at least 5 miles or get in car. sometimes wi fi worked, sometimes...

Beautiful accomodations in beautiful surroundings. This was our second visit to Cedar Valley. The Big Timber Lodge was perfect size for five families. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and space for all. First visit was October 2014 and the peaking autumn colors were awesome. There was plenty to do outside. The second visit was November 2015 which was colder and the...

Rented Big Timber and Loon for an annual reunion in late June. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience and memorable get-together. With 30 people, having the houses nearby to visit back/forth without annoying guests in other cabins was perfect, along with all the privacy of our location. The playground, bonfire and horse shoe pits right outside the cabin were...

This resort is top-notch! The cabin we stayed in (WhiteTail) was very large (more than our family of 4 needed) but we loved having the space. It was a charming blend of rustic and modern with the lovely wood accents and "up north" feel, fireplace and nice flat screen TV. It was very clean and well cared for. We also...

Our family of 17 gets together every other year at a resort or VRBO. Cedar Valley was by far the best place we have ever stayed. We stayed in Willow East and West. It was perfect for kids and adults. The best part was that each bedroom has it's own bathroom plus a half bath in the common areas. The...

My family has been staying at Cedar Valley Resort for years as our reunion center. Great location. Fantastic cabins. Owners and staff are exceptional. Take advantage of the float trips on the Root River. Their landing is on the property so you just pull your kayak, canoe or tube up on the shore and walk back to the cabin. I...

“Only 4.5 miles to Lanesboro, for quaint shopping, and food. All the lodges have a lovely view of the bike path and the field and trees, and birds and hillside, none are obstructed. Corner units are somewhat more quiet as the walls are pretty thin.”
