I was disappointed not to be staying in the pub but in a brick outhouse in the pub yard. It was cold and not much improved by a convector heater. The metal bedhead was loose and kept banging against the wall and I had to stop this by stuffing a pillow between the bed and the wall. Breakfast OK but...

Used this hostelry for B&B. The first thing to note is that check-in is from 4pm but if you don't have a mobile phone you can't get in until the pub opens. We arrived at about 5:20pm and had to phone two numbers before anyone came to let us in. The room was clean but a little tired. The other...

We stopped in here in the way home from Eurotunnel craving a nice Sunday roast and it didn't fail to disappoint. I had the beef, wonderfully tender, my husband the lamb, succulent and tasty. Great service , lovely place.

Room was fairly basic but great value. We booked to stay here for our two day visit to RHS Gardens at Wisley. Couldn't have been better - just a few minutes drive away. If you want a poncy hotel where you can be pampered this may not be for you. But if you want a straight forward bed and breakfast...

I booked a room for a couple of our engineers and the feedback I had was great off them. The room was cosy, staff very inviting, food was spot on and they said they would return if ever in the area again and needed somewhere to stay. Very well priced with breakfast included.

I stopped here overnight for a business trip and what a fantastic pub. The staff were absolutely amazing and the food was unbelievable. Keep this pub on the radar and book early as it will soon be fully booked every night. I have already booked my next two trips!!!

I occasionally need to stay in the Woking area, and always try to find a cheapish hotel (as I'm spending the money of a not-for-profit organisation). I've stayed here twice now, and although the pub and food is nice (including an evening bar meal and breakfast), the rooms are on the small side, even if nicely kitted out, but I...

On the busy main road in little village of Ripley. The room was ok. I had twin beds, the valence on the base of the bed seemed quite stained. The bathroom, although a reasonable size only had a small freestanding shower unit, which is always a struggle to use if you're shaving your legs without getting your hair wet. I...

Certainly not good value for the price. Room decor from 1970's. Shower was new, the rest was rather old and worn. Cheap wobbly furniture. Kept awake till after midnight by noise from the bar. Very basic breakfast, with sliced white toast of the most tasteless type. The evening meal of suspect quality, despite being advertised as a 'gastro pub', will...
