The most lovely stay in Scotland! Mary and Struan are just wonderful and they really take care about us! The rooms are huge and nicely done up and the breakfast was really good. For all those who would like to have a homely stay.

We had a wonderful spacious room, the decoration and furnishings just perfect. It was the best place we stayed at on our Scottish tour - maybe the best ever! Unfortunately you need to go into St andrews (5 miles) to find food - but thats worth it too. The Sea food restaurant if you are flush (they have a good...

It's just so lovely to stay at a welcoming B&B like Hillpark House rather than a faceless hotel. Mary and Struan made us very welcome, and the house is just a delight, with its oak panelling and comfortable spacious rooms. We did manage to find a pub up the road that serves dinner till 9pm (phone if you're cutting it...

A B&B with a real welcome, secure bike storage. This was my favourite B&B of our cycle from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. Just off cycle route 1, then when you leave in the morning a great ride through Tensmuir forest. The pubs in Leuchars don't do evening meals, but the B&B provides facilities to eat and drink if you get something...

We stayed at Hillpark House on the week end of the British Open. We found Struan & Mary to be very hospitable people. We arrived around 11a.m. on Saturday morning having agreed in advance that we could leave our bags in early and were shown around the house. We were advised that if we wanted to bring food back and...

We were booked for 3 nights in Hillpark House for this coming August and mentioned at the time of booking that we’d be arriving late due to our very late arrival at Edinburgh Airport, followed by a 75-min. trip in the car to Leuchars. The owners said we should let them know our time of arrival as soon as we...

ahem, This has to be the best B&B in Scotland - if not further afield. OK, the location isn't teeming with local attractions within walking distance, but the building is wonderful and the hosts - what can I say? - are just so understanding it makes others look like sourpusses. First, the building. Very well maintained/restored Victorian. Evocative of a...

I was playing golf in the area and was loking for an overnight B&B without paying a fortune. The tastefully furnished and larger than average, well appointed room was very comfortable and the Freshly Cooked breakfast was as good as you will ever get and far superior to those that you get in so called 4 & 5 star hotels...
