My family and I were traveling back home to Maine from Pennsylvania and decided to go to Six Flags in Mass. We last minute found this hotel on our way to CT. It was late and we just had a miserable two days from staying in horrible hotels. When I went into this hotel to see if we could last minute book I was greeted by an extremely nice gentleman. He was happy to get us a room and was so helpful. We had a double queen room and it was AMAZING. Absolutely beautiful. After staying in two disgusting hotels this felt like we were in heaven. The beds are so comfortable. The room was spotless. My favorite was the water pressure in the shower. I wanted to stay in there forever. My daughter loved the pool. It was very clean. They have a Starbucks inside. This hotel is extremely safe and I cannot recommend them enough. Definitely stay here if you need to. Thank you for an amazing nights sleep.…
Service and Courtesy 5+ Super clean Accommodating with every detail and need for the 4 of us Quiet, even with an event happening downstairs Special: the small courtyard and large gas fire pit Breakfast and Coffee is a la cart but worth every $$$ Would stay again for next visit, which will be soon
I really enjoyed my one night stay at Courtyard by Marriott this past weekend. The hotel's evening manager (Amanda?) was super helpful when I called before booking to ask some questions about the hotel. She was super friendly when I arrived and provided a good overview on the amenities at the hotel, including the pool. The room I stayed in was clean, modern and spacious. The manager the next day, Marco, was also super helpful and friendly. The only minor disappointment was that there wasn't complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby. My room had a personal coffee maker and k-cups but only powdered creamer so I was hoping to find a fresh coffee station in the lobby. There was Starbucks coffee available for purchase however at their in-house cafe. The barista / cashier at this cafe was also very friendly. This wasn't a huge deal though as the friendliness of the staff and nice room, etc. still made my brief stay a great experience. I hope to stay here again in the near future!…
We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was on the 3rd/top floor and nice. the staff was extremely kind and courteous making sure we were being well taken care of. The pool was also enjoyable. We would stay here again.
Stayed at this hotel 12 years ago. Decided to stay again. Good staff, friendly and pleasant. really nice room , clean and quiet. Issue is the food. Marriott should be embarrassed to serve food like this. there was a time when a Courtyard had very decent food. apparently that time has passed. the food was the poorest quality I have ever been served in a hotel. The chicken from the caesar was a color I have never seen. the breakfast sandwich was vile. the burger the next night was really terrible. the only reason I ate there was snow the second night. It will be some time before I stay in a Courtyard again. Stay for the room, just don't eat there
Hotel had a modern and warm feel as you entered. The cafe had just opened that night and it was refreshing to feel as if I entered peace lol. The lounge area is so friggin cute! When I went into the room it smelled very nice and it was clean and perfect. The pool looked so beautiful. I couldn’t get in this time. I can’t wait to come back!
Nice hotel. Attractive and in a good location. Room was nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the hotel seems to suffer a sound deadening issue where I can hear everything which takes places in the hall way and above me. I know when my above neighbor is sitting in the office area or closing and opening the blinds. Plus I can hear the family in the hallway making plans and where their are going. I think the hotel needs to replace the hallway doors with thicker material ones. Although this is a common issue among Marriott courtyards properties
Do not stay here. Hotel is old and in need of work. For the most part our room appeared clean and bed were fairly comfortable. Bathroom shower rod was falling out of the wall and wallpaper was peeling and moldy. No hot water on Sunday. Mini Refrigerator was not working when we arrived so called maintenance. They “fixed” it and then it froze everything so soda exploded. Extremely loud room since the courtyard WAS where people gathered to party until 2:40AM. THANKFULLY it rained the second night and the inside rooms near reception got to deal with crowd. I can not recommend anything at this hotel. We could not even see if restaurant was opened because so many people with no mask were jammed into lobby and restaurant area. There was apparently a large group of wedding attendees and the hotel only cared about them.…
Typical Courtyard layout with spacious rooms and very accommodating staff. Very quiet location. Went to a cocktail reception that was fabulous. They did a wonder job hosting and the spread was way above what one might expect from a Courtyard.
We had THE BEST wedding weekend experience at the Courtyard Hartford Cromwell! The rooms were clean and comfortable for the wedding guests. There was plenty of space for people to meet and spend time together (bar area and outside courtyard). It was also convenient (and delicious!) to have a Starbucks in the lobby area. But most of all...the staff was incredible! They were very helpful and attentive! Each event set-up was done on time and with attention to detail. We reserved a bridal room for hair and make up (complete with higher chairs and large mirrors for stylists) and ordered food for the bridal party. I was impressed with the freshness and presentation of the food. After the wedding, we hosted an "after party" in the bar area. Food and drinks were ready to go as soon as our guests arrived. The great pub-style food...chicken fingers, nachos, pizza, stuffed potatoes...was perfect for a little late night bite after a wedding! Before guests departed on Sunday, they were treated to a "happily ever after" breakfast for the bride and groom. The manager and staff member made sure everything was set up perfectly! Everyone enjoyed the breakfast--especially the French toast and crispy bacon! It was a perfect wedding weekend! We are so happy we chose the Marriott in Cromwell! We can't thank Brendan (Dir. of Sales and Marketing), Josue (manager), and all the staff enough for making it such a wonderful, memorable wedding weekend for our families!…
