This hotel is old and has been somewhat updated. My room (3rd floor) was ok but bathroom was far from Marriott standards. Friend who stayed on first floor said their bathroom was lovely and updated. When I checked in my room had a king bed and a small chair instead of sofa bed I had booked. I asked to be moved to room I had booked and they asked if they could bring me a port-a-cot, I said no and they moved me. The exercise room has no windows and was over 90 degrees, no way I’m going to workout there! Pool looked nice but I didn’t use. They do have a super nice courtyard area with a fire pit. Sunday morning 6am the power went out so no lights in the bathroom or room, no tv and the mini fridge kept beeping which woke me up and prevented me from going back to sleep. Serious bummer after a big night at a wedding. It was out about 3 hours. The staff here were mostly friendly and helpful which is always a strong point. I was able to get an early check in and late check out which is also great. I just feel like this hotel doesn’t warrant $180/night without some updating…
This hotel has nothing special but if you need to stay near something important, then it is reasonable. Spacious, clean, mattress ok. Right near numerous highways but the hotel is situated in a barren zone/parking lot. Ok place. I can't say that there is anything that distinguishes it from the majority of hotels.
It's rather obvious when you see it Mariott Cromwell looks run down in and out. There is a smell of mold which lingers days after your stay. Staff is super friendly even thou they are paid minimum wage and most are on welfare while working full time. There are much better hotels to stay in Cromwell CT much newer literary speaking 3 minutes away addition bonus they are lot cheaper
My family and I were traveling back home to Maine from Pennsylvania and decided to go to Six Flags in Mass. We last minute found this hotel on our way to CT. It was late and we just had a miserable two days from staying in horrible hotels. When I went into this hotel to see if we could last minute book I was greeted by an extremely nice gentleman. He was happy to get us a room and was so helpful. We had a double queen room and it was AMAZING. Absolutely beautiful. After staying in two disgusting hotels this felt like we were in heaven. The beds are so comfortable. The room was spotless. My favorite was the water pressure in the shower. I wanted to stay in there forever. My daughter loved the pool. It was very clean. They have a Starbucks inside. This hotel is extremely safe and I cannot recommend them enough. Definitely stay here if you need to. Thank you for an amazing nights sleep.…
Service and Courtesy 5+ Super clean Accommodating with every detail and need for the 4 of us Quiet, even with an event happening downstairs Special: the small courtyard and large gas fire pit Breakfast and Coffee is a la cart but worth every $$$ Would stay again for next visit, which will be soon
I really enjoyed my one night stay at Courtyard by Marriott this past weekend. The hotel's evening manager (Amanda?) was super helpful when I called before booking to ask some questions about the hotel. She was super friendly when I arrived and provided a good overview on the amenities at the hotel, including the pool. The room I stayed in was clean, modern and spacious. The manager the next day, Marco, was also super helpful and friendly. The only minor disappointment was that there wasn't complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby. My room had a personal coffee maker and k-cups but only powdered creamer so I was hoping to find a fresh coffee station in the lobby. There was Starbucks coffee available for purchase however at their in-house cafe. The barista / cashier at this cafe was also very friendly. This wasn't a huge deal though as the friendliness of the staff and nice room, etc. still made my brief stay a great experience. I hope to stay here again in the near future!…
We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was on the 3rd/top floor and nice. the staff was extremely kind and courteous making sure we were being well taken care of. The pool was also enjoyable. We would stay here again.
Stayed at this hotel 12 years ago. Decided to stay again. Good staff, friendly and pleasant. really nice room , clean and quiet. Issue is the food. Marriott should be embarrassed to serve food like this. there was a time when a Courtyard had very decent food. apparently that time has passed. the food was the poorest quality I have ever been served in a hotel. The chicken from the caesar was a color I have never seen. the breakfast sandwich was vile. the burger the next night was really terrible. the only reason I ate there was snow the second night. It will be some time before I stay in a Courtyard again. Stay for the room, just don't eat there
Hotel had a modern and warm feel as you entered. The cafe had just opened that night and it was refreshing to feel as if I entered peace lol. The lounge area is so friggin cute! When I went into the room it smelled very nice and it was clean and perfect. The pool looked so beautiful. I couldn’t get in this time. I can’t wait to come back!
Nice hotel. Attractive and in a good location. Room was nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the hotel seems to suffer a sound deadening issue where I can hear everything which takes places in the hall way and above me. I know when my above neighbor is sitting in the office area or closing and opening the blinds. Plus I can hear the family in the hallway making plans and where their are going. I think the hotel needs to replace the hallway doors with thicker material ones. Although this is a common issue among Marriott courtyards properties
