Spectacular experience at the height of the fall season foliage season. The hotel infrastructure is unique. I say that in a positive way in the sense that it is a high-end resort, but does not look like the Ritz, Four Seasons, Mandarin, type hotels. It has a personality that makes you feel like you are home as opposed to merely...

My pre-arrival experience at this hotel was WAY below average, and I was worried that the stay would be a hodge podge of mistakes, bungles, and forgotten promises. However, I have to say that following my stay, I would GLADLY stay at this beautiful resort again,....and again,....and again!! First, let me give you a small sample of disappointments: -Outdoor hot...

We visited Vail in mid-September to see the color change. This hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent. We had the Vail Mountain 2 bedroom suite which had two and half bathrooms, 2 with soaking tubs plus showers. Downstairs was a large closet for storage (skis, etc). It had a gas fireplace, dining table, foyer and small balcony downstairs,...

My wife and I recently visited Vail. It's an amazing place with many great (and often affordable places to stay). When we arrived in town our favoitie hotel was booked so we were referred to Sonnenalp. We were cheerfully greeted by hotel staff and asked if we had a reservation. We said "no", but wanted to know about room availability?...

The suites at the Sonnenalp are not inexpensive but we believe beautiful and worth the price. If you are looking for a room based on a certain budget, it would be appropriate to simply make that known and we would only offer what is available in that price range.

Just got back from a long weekend in Vail then off to Denver. One of the best places we have ever stayed. All the great reviews say it all. Prepay for the breakfast. It is not to be missed. Great location in Vail Village. You can walk to any place to dine.

My husband and I visited last month in celebration of our birthdays and we could not have been more pleased with not only the hotel but the staff as well. Our room was plenty big and we were able to sleep with the window as well as the french doors open at night and we could hear the creek below...

I have stayed at the Sonnenalp before during the winter, never in the summer. Was I ever so glad that we did. As usual, the Sonnenalp and all of their staff met or exceeded all of our expectations. From the front desk staff to Victor, the concierge, who made us dinner reservations and rented us bikes and recommended a route...
