The Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge is a small, privately-run hotel in Twin Lakes, Colorado -- a small resort community right next to Mount Elbert (the highest mountain in Colorado), more or less halfway between the towns of Leadville and Buena Vista. It's a beautiful little place, with each room having it's own character. The room I had was compact but...

First time in Twin Lakes- absolutely beautiful and quiet!! We stayed in the Swedes Studio and it was perfect. Steve and Connie were great- met some other great people. central location to visit nearby cities. took our mountain bikes and found great rides every day. We came in after dark and woke up to the most beautiful view. Not much...

My husband and I are artists, we stayed for two nights in the Swedish Studio. It had everything we wanted. Bring your own food. Twin Lakes is a charmingly tiny historic town and there are not a lot of dining options. After a day of hiking and painting in the stunning surrounding landscape we spent a relaxed evening cooking and...

My husband and I recently staid there for 3 nights in the "Swede Cabin." Very comfortable with great views. After a long day hike to Mt.Elbert was a great place to come back to relax and enjoy the views in a peaceful setting. Not much happening in Twin Lakes but that was fine for us. We did bring some extra...

We loved our stay at the Historic Carriage House of Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge. Twin Lakes is a small community with very few places to stay but we were fortunate to find this gem. My husband and I loved the view from the porch of the Twin Lakes, and we also liked having the space of the Carriage House. Even...

Very nice stay. We had a room right off of the charming deck with views of the lake, mountains and a marsh where we watched a beaver swim back and forth. The deck is charming with flowers and humming birds. The cinnamon rolls are great. We used the grill and ate out on the deck which was wonderful. The lake is...

We stayed in the hiker's room, the smallest on the property. It was just right for the two of us. The porch was a great place to relax, breathe in the views, watch the wildlife and just relax. The town has one general store and one restaurant. It isn't far from larger towns but feels like you are in the...

Only stay here if you want to spend time in a ridiculously adorable and charming cabin. The spaces are small but they have everything you could need for a few days away from the city. My sister uses a wheelchair, even though the space is not ADA (bathtub, kitchenette) we were still able to easily get her inside the cabin...

We had a very enjoyable night at this comfortable if unusual establishment with its odd hodge podge of decoration styles. The host was friendly, the bed comfortable, the shower the best we've had so far in Utah and Colorado and the price fine. Enjoyed a fine walk to the Dexter historic deserted house and hotel across the lake and a...

We stayed here inadvertently when we were unable to cross Mount Elbert to make our first night's hotel reservation in Aspen due to snow. The price was great and we appreciated the 'green' aspects of the lodge. Breakfast is light, but it was nice to have a good assortment of fruit. The view outside is incredible. Overall we were grateful...
