I stayed at this Inn for the first time with son and two granddaughters on the way to Leadville and to be close to Mt Elbert. The location has good views of two blue lakes, tree covered mountain, an outstanding restaurant service and food, and close to one of the trails up Mt Elbert. After group checkout this 74 yr...

A really lovely unique inn. Extremely beautiful location, with the twin lakes and Mt Elbert rising directly behind, just to the west. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the dressers and tables were like antiques, like we were stepping back in time. But surprisingly, the bathrooms were new and modern. We loved the owners and manager, Doug, Margie and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will plan to stay here again. The best of everything: restaurant is exceptional, rich history of the Inn, impeccable view, staff that treat you like family, clean updated bathrooms, and the comfortable beds made the trip. The Inn is at the base of Mt Elbert, the tallest in the Rockies, which we came to...

We stayed one night in this beautiful historic Inn. The owners were so friendly, they made you feel at home. The entire place was super clean. The dinner was phenomenal!!!! I had the salmon and crab piccata and my husband had the bacon wrapped chicken florentine...we finished with made from scratch blueberry pie a la mode (best blueberry pie ever!!!)....

This place has history. You will get some of the old time inn experience and a homey feel. The proprietors are a stellar couple--really nice and helpful people who know what they are doing. Doug helped orient us to a great hike up (part of) Mt Elbert and had another wonderful hiking suggestion too.

To start with, the drive up to this place is just shockingly gorgeous. True Colorado mountain glory. The Inn is so friendly, with a happy, helpful staff. Well-stocked bar, delicious dinner -- big enough portions to follow a heavy day of hiking followed by one of the best slices of blueberry pie I've tasted outside my own kitchen. Our room...

My wife and I flew to Denver to visit my brother and his wife- and we spent two days in the “High Country” west of Denver before spending a week at their home in Colorado. We drove to Frisco, CO where we spent the first night and, after touring around the area, arrived at Twin Lakes- south of Leadville and...

Highly recommend! Very cozy. Stopped here on our way to a wedding in Redstone. "It felt like I was a pioneer in the 1800's." Great water pressure in shower. Enjoyed the inviting library space and fridge. Able to play board games and cards. The view was top notch. Friendly and attentive staff. Close to nice hiking and beautiful sights.

This B&B was a bordello at one point in the past. The owners had fun with this history and named rooms after former inhabitants. The inn has the character of an old building, which my husband and I enjoy. However, others might find the room a little small or not be as charmed as we were by the slight tilt...
