There are a fair amount of negative reviews on this site, but I'm convinced they are written by people who are super fussy about their accommodations--even though many claim not to be. We've stayed at Manitou Lodge twice--in March 2014 and again in January 2015--and have reservations again in March 2015. We love the rustic décor and the coziness, and...

What was once a vibrant and very cool place has become tired and neglected. Shabby linens, broken fixtures, dingy carpets and furnishings. More disappointing was the "free breakfast" - it was pathetic! It doesn't take a lot to keep our group happy as far as breakfast goes, however the folks at the Manitou failed to meet our modest standards. At...

Thank you for taking the time to write your detailed review of the Manitou Lodge. Please know that we have heard you and made changes. We have changed our breakfast staffing at the lodge. While we still offer a simple breakfast, we are doing our best to make sure that what we offer is fresh and plentiful. We have reviewed...

A reasonably priced lodge in a great location. Short walk to downtown, shorter walk to the gondola. This was the second time we've stayed here. Wifi was included in the room price, and a parking pass was provided as well.

First time in Telluride - chose Manitou Lodge for its reasonable pricing in a quite expensive town. Pros: location easy walking distance to gondola, town, several trails; beautiful creekside setting; nice sitting patio by creek; nice and convenient hot tub; able to fix our own dinners in the kitchen which saved on eating expenses - everything in Telluride is expensive....

Thank you for your review of the Manitou Lodge. We definitely have heard you and no longer have the to go breakfasts. Please note that we are not a bed and breakfast, and only offer a simple, continental style breakfast in the mornings. While we cannot offer a fancy breakfast, we are doing our best to make sure everything is...

So great location, with a deck so nice for summer hiking season. Nice to have kitchen but have to admit we did not really use it except to make coffee. Rooms are adequate but very small. Don't let the photos and loft concept fool you. It's very tight. Also, be prepared to haul your stuff up the staircase, and also...

Thank you for your review of the Manitou Lodge. While we do have some limitations with breakfast since we do not have a commercial kitchen, we are doing our best to make improvements. Breakfast includes cereal, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee and tea. It is a pretty simple breakfast, but we are working to make sure it is...

I've been swearing by TA for over 10 years now and have learned to take the reading of reviews with a "grain-of-salt" and not react very strongly to any one review, especially the negative ones. There are always a few "bitter" ones, but in this case I have to agree quite strongly with the reviews of UFO 123 and Laura...

I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties with your stay at the Manitou. Yes, we are not a bed and breakfast and are in the process of making sure that none of our travel partners represent us as such. We do not have a commercial kitchen and cannot provide a hot breakfast. Since your stay all of the...

After we got a code from the office, the next fun part: We had to drag all our heavy luggage over the small bridge and then thru the 30" wide up a winding staircase to the 2nd floor. This lodge had NO air conditioning, so please be aware. The “sofa bed” was amazing! You can count all the spring coils...

We appreciate your constructive criticism of the Manitou Lodge. The lodge is located across a pedestrian bridge from the on street parking. While it makes moving in and out more challenging, it makes for a more peaceful stay with no car noise, just the sound of the river. The lodge does not have air conditioning, but the temperature in Telluride...

We searched for a budget friendly, yet safe, clean property and found it with this one! Our room (loft bedroom, couch and bathroom downstairs) was the most unique room I have ever stayed in! Truly enjoyed the experience. Parking in Telluride is a challenge, but we were provided an info sheet with the "rules" upon checkin. Breakfast wasn't as expansive...

We recently spent 5 nights at Manitou Lodge. We had a room with 2 beds (upstairs) and a living area, kitchenette and bathroom downstairs. Mehhhh. Let me tell you a little about my experience. I am not one of those people that is hard to please by any means and it really does take a lot for me to write a bad review. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We have had some issues with the communication coming from 3rd party vendors, like Orbitz.
