Room 318. We woke up to a very cold room at 4am. It was 57 degrees. Reported it to the front desk and they did nothing. Fortunately we checked out that same day but it was really uncomfortable all morning. We had to put our base layers on to go back to sleep. Also, the room below us reported flooding from our room and we had no water visible in our bathroom. I suspect this room has had issues with this heater before which has resulted in pipe damage to the plumbing behind the walls based on the people below us having to be moved due to flooding when we used the shower.
Very clean and well-managed property. Free Steamboat shuttle available near hotel. Nice staff. Great grab and go breakfast that lasts till 10 a.m. The pool and hot tub area was well-maintained. Only one complaint...the pool was too cold.
I had a work trip to Steamboat and needed to book somewhere last minute. I had never stayed at a Fairfield Inn - we usually gravitate more towards boutique hotels or unique stays on vacations. Most the town was booked so I went for it. The Fairfield exceeded all expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff friendly, and even the dog “potty area” was clean and well-maintained. I’m guessing we got the last available room as it was accessible and right by the front desk. Even so, no noise issues on a Saturday night. Note that downtown is a few miles down the road, but not too far. Very good option in Steamboat for a quick stay!
Clean, good service, and serving grab and go breakfast. They seem to be quite mindful of Covid procedures. It is about 2 miles out of town, so not in the center of the action. You will need to drive into town. Service was mixed. Misty was great. Others were ok.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Chris at the front desk. He was polite and friendly. Check in was quick. Face masks are required in all public areas of the hotel. There is an indoor pool and hot tub that was open for use. A Grab and Go breakfast was offered with items like breakfast bars and yogurt. Chris let us know that there was a restaurant in a hotel that had outdoor seating within walking distance. Chris also advised to be aware that wildlife is around especially late at night and the early morning. He cautioned us not to approach wildlife even to take a picture. The room appeared clean. No coffee pot in the room but coffee is offered at the front desk 24/7. The shower as shampoo/conditioner/body wash from a dispenser. Hair dryer is also in room. Free unsecured WiFi. Dogs are welcome.…
