Five us went here after three days of skiing. It was pretty busy but there are plenty of pools/springs. They have restrooms and a changing cabins. It's $15 per adult per day. You can stay as long as you'd like. There is no concession but...More
I really wanted to love this experience, but it was ruined by way too many people in such a small area. My husband, daughter, and I took a shuttle there and arrived around 3PM. Since it was a cold winter day, there was hardly any...More

I don't think you'll find anyone who can give you a straight answer to this. The weather can be very unpredictable in the mountains (as you probably know, being from Fort Collins). I would say in November, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. If you have 4WD you'll be fine. I have a Subaru and don't own chains. November is right on the cusp- normally I'd say you'd be just fine, but this has been a very wet year and snow could start falling earlier than normal (typically Dec-March is heavier snow season). I'd say go for it if you have 4WD- it's totally worth it. I have also heard there is a shuttle from Steamboat to the springs, but don't know anything about it... Could call and ask.
