We were shocked when we walked into our tiny room... We booked a KING suite and trust me it wasn’t cheap! The room was so tiny, not even a desk or a fridge!!! Thank goodness we had brought our electric cooler or we would have been in bad shape with nothing to keep our foods/drinks cold. Even cheap hotels offer a fridge! The king suite is small... 2 people barely have room. There was only a small corner to put the luggage. The bedding smelled of old sweat... the jet tub was very discolored and un-inviting. The noise from the connecting room was so loud. NO housekeeping services at all for the 7 day stay. We attempted to eat at the restaurant one late afternoon and stood at the ‘wait to be seated’ sign for 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us, the lady at the bar just kept talking to a couple people who were there. We found somewhere in town to eat at and didn’t attempt going here again. Parking in the attached garage is $15 a day which was never mentioned in our booking. Although Steamboat Springs is a great vacation spot... this place leaves little to be desired. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Reception and valet staff were perfectly nice, but... We expected better for a $300/night room in one of Steamboat's largest resorts. The room was dingy and featured stained carpet, cheap decor and noise from door to the connected room. See photos. The parking garage across the street should be demolished – it's beyond repair and an unsettling place to leave a car.

We had a fifth floor Mountain View. Don’t expect much of a view here. Room had a dim entry light and three low wattage lamps, one lighting a useless corner, one lighting the desk inadequate for reading and one between the beds. Half the room was dark and one could only read in bathroom which was lit ok. Food at restaurant was ok. Buffalo was really good. Parking was a good feature, personnel were friendly and competent. Overall maybe ok hotel at best but I am not sure there is much better here.

While every person we dealt with were absolutely wonderful - helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and a credit to the Grand, the room was a complete disappointment. We were in a studio unit and it was pathetically tiny. To start - there is only room for a double bed. The eating area is too small for both chairs to fit under the table so one person had to sit semi-sideways. There is NO cabinet space in the kitchen so if you are bringing any kitchen supplies, or buying any (spices, condiments, chips, dessert) there is no place to put it. The kitchen counter space work area is pitiful - roughly 18 inches. In order to do anything to prep for cooking, the toaster had to be put up on the shelf in the entryway and the paper towel holder and utensil holder had to be moved to the table. Whoever designed this should have put in a two burner stove, not four. It's ridiculous to put a sleep sofa in the unit and say it can be suitable for four people. Where exactly would four people sit on the one couch that is in the room and the tiny table with not enough room for two people. Where would they put their clothes or belongings? It was disappointing that the TV did not have any apps as part of the package so we couldn't use Netflix or Prime. There was one major maintenance issues - the night we arrived we found that the reading light over the right side of the bed was out. Maintenance came right away and John went to fix this. He deserves a bonus and a raise! He was wonderful but what idiot put in a light fixture that does not allow a bulb to be replaced - he had to pull the whole fixture out of the ceiling! This of course brought drywall and other debris on to the pillow and the top of that side of the bed. John apologized profusely and of course cleaned that up and got us a new pillow. It took him a long time to get the part and get that fixed and get the fixture back in the ceiling. He was wonderful but what a stupid set up. Unfortunately, the night before we left the OTHER reading light bulb quit working. We didn't even bother calling but felt sorry for John or whomever was going to have to change that one out.

I recently attended a wedding in Steamboat and the Bride & Groom had reserved a block of rooms. The only choice was a room with a pull out couch. The pull out couch was at least 20 years old and literally the worst thing I have ever slept on in my life. After spending $200+ per night for 3 days, my back is broken, my shoulder, neck and hips are aching and I can hardly walk. Additionally, there was one very small and lightweight (twin size) blanket for a queen size pull out couch. Aside from the comfort, the furniture was worn and dated. The coffee maker carafe had the wrong lid so coffee poured out sideways. The finishes were all very dated and ugly. I would have expected much more from this resort. I'm not sure why with a room block event this would be the only type of room available. I cannot understand why this option exists for a couple. If the adjacent rooms were part of the package, then I could understand. But to have this as the only choice was ridiculous! Additionally, because this room had two rooms with internal connections, the sound coming from the adjacent rooms was extremely loud. Needless to say, I barely slept for 3 nights. Was a terrible experience.
