An old motel in the north end of Salida, yet minutes from the downtown area. This motel was a great find .... reasonably priced, refurbished to brand new condition, no extra fee for pets and our dog loved the complimentary dog bed/pillow! We enthusiastically recommend this place!

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 27 April 2016

Have stayed here several times over the last 10 to12 years or so and just completed another stay. This motel remains an excellent value. Extremely clean, friendly and involved management and close (6 blocks) from downtown. An easy walk. Though it is very close to a highway (which doesn't have a lot of traffic) the rooms are very quiet. The... More

This was 2nd stay at the Woodland, one of the finest small motels ever, and not part of any big chain. I will come back here for sure (I so enjoy this area of Colorado.) The rooms are impeccable, with cleanliness and orderliness to the Nth degree!! A real gem on a quiet edge of town, just minutes away, walking... More

Our room was very clean and the staff was over the top nice and friendly. This motel is walking distance to Salida's downtown area so the location is primo. It's very quiet and it's nice to support a mom and pop extablishment instead of the big chains. Would stay here again.

We have stayed at the chain hotels out by the hotel when coming to Salida, but this time around we had a chance to stay at the woodland through a recommendation from a friend. We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo. It was very roomy, quiet, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped, internet was quick and the... More

This was our second stay at the Woodland. We love the Woodland! While the hotel is older we've found everything very clean and very well maintained. We spent one of our stays in a room with a kitchenette that was adequately stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware and dishes. Stove and refrigerator were very clean and worked well. Located well away... More

If you want cookie cutter rooms with the hot breakfast buffet, then you won't like the Woodland. If, however, you like to get off the main highway, get closer to downtown with walking and bike trails nearby, like large unique rooms with kitchens and dining tables, then you're apt to like this property. We started coming here when we traveled... More

Spent only one night passing through Salida and didn't want to splurge on lodging--and didn't need to. On outskirts of town, property was pleasant, bright, and clean. John was friendly, very helpful in suggesting places to eat. Bathroom rather small (a large person would find it difficult to adopt Rodin's Thinker pose while on the throne) but it, too was... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Woodland in Salida. We came in a day early and our room type was booked so they gave us a room upgrade. Our room was very clean and had all the items we needed. The Woodland is very convenient to walking trails and downtown Salida. We have booked a stay for ski season this... More

I've stayed with my 2 small dogs in over a dozen hotels without a single problem or complaint. However here, where they were supposedly welcomed with their own pillows, our credit card was billed an extra $75-$100 after we got home for dog hair, smells, etc,etc.etc. Moreover durning our stay, I was awakened at 10:05 p.m. by a call from management... I regret to read that we did not manage to fulfill your expectations, however I must clarify certain aspects of the issues you mention: When I receive a call from the guest next door informing me of noise and disturbance in your room, I must resolve the situation in order for everyone's pleasant stay. I made the phone call to... More
