Wonderful stay and Theresa is great hostess. Remembered us booking months earlier by phone conversation. Quiet even though just off the road. The "Hunger Trailer" which is on site is a big plus for GREAT food. Theresa also recommended Italian local just around the corner and we had wonderful time. Thanks for letting us give the local economy our share.... More

This small roadside motel was a wonderful change from all the larger motel/hotel chains. It has a garden and a stream that runs through the property. The room was clean and decorated with antique furnishings. The owner is very hands on and welcomed us with a cheery smile and very pleasant attitude. I will always stay here when we are... More

Our motorcycle trip to the Great Sand Dunes was enhanced by our stay at Poncha Lodge. Teresa and hubby have made this little motor lodge into an oasis. While our room was the tiniest room ever, it was immaculate and homey. D's food next door was delightful. The garden for relaxation did the trick. Teresa took time out to visit... More

My granddaughter and I needed a place to stop halfway on our trip to the western slope of Colorado to see family and attend a memorial service. In the past we have spent the night in Salida; however prices there are quite high this time of year and most motels are standard accommodations. Since Poncha Springs is on our direct... More

Sorry I was so late in reviewing. We absolutely loved the lodge!. After spending over 6 days in Moab Utah at over $200.00 a night the Poncha Lodge was a breath of fresh air. Theresa, the owner, is wonderful. Our room was perfect, right across from the Hungry Trailer, which has wonderful food. We enjoyed our cocktail hour in the... More

So happy we chose this place to stay on our way from the Rocky Mountain National Park to Durango to ride the Silverton Durango Train. It's so charming and very relaxing. Super clean, newly remodeled and has a courtyard in the rear with the most beautiful flowers, hummingbird feeders, a small stream running through it. A hidden treasure. Park right... More

Very cute autocourt style motel. Theresa the owner lives on site and has lots of info to share especially for a good place to eat. You park in front of your door and there's flowers everywhere, in hanging baskets and planters. As soon as we opened our door I got a huge smile on my face, the room is so... More

Rooms are clean with a charming dated design. Bathroom clean and well appointed. Teresa, the owner, is a charming Texan. The grounds are well kept and features a hot tub and incredible garden for relaxing. Very cool place. For tourists looking for fancy, go to a bigger city. This place is "home town" not "downtown". We consider this a destination... More

We had a delightful stay at Poncha Lodge. The rooms were clean and freshly remodeled. There is a wonderful courtyard in the rear with small stream flowing through it. It is easy to access Buena Vista, Salida, Monarch and numerous hiking and biking trails from this location. The manager/owner, Teresa, is also a jewel!
