Step back in time and relive the glory days of Colorado's col-or-ful past... At the St. Elmo Hotel in Ouray, Col-orado. Once bustling with gold and sil-ver seek-ers, Ouray today is a pic-turesque ham-let, sur-rounded by 14,000 foot peaks in the majes-tic San Juan moun-tains of south-west Col-orado. The St. Elmo Hotel is a lov-ingly restored, turn-of-the-century inn located in the heart of Ouray, Col-orado, a national his-toric dis-trict. Dec-o-rated with Vic-to-rian flair and full of period antiques, this 9-room Col-orado bed and break-fast inn delights guests with a wine & cheese social hour every after-noon in the cozy par-lor and a full buf-fet break-fast every morn-ing served in the sunny break-fast room. After spend-ing the day dis-cov-er-ing a new hik-ing trail or the fine shops in the area, a soak in the out-door hot tub is a great way to relax while sur-rounded by the beau-ti-ful San Juan mountains.

Hotel appears lovely when you walk in. Nice decor. Greeted by surly man at desk who seemed irritated by our arrival. Our room was large but we’d booked for three beds. There was only one bed in the room. Went back out to the desk to enquire and were told the sofas pull out.

Neil, old chap First thing I would like to thank you for visiting Ouray Colorado.Sorry you didn't like anything about the city.Next the room has one bed an two futons, that you make ready your self when ready for bed not hard to do.I am sure that there were no brown smears on the towels! Breakfast is from 8am to 9am not 9:30 am when you and your crew came in, you got what was left. Our rates are not motel 6 that you may have booked in other city's .I am the old guy that you check out with and when I ask if all was well you said yes. Then to top it off you leave MOUSES CHOCOLATES A bad review!! Best chocolate this side of Texas City David
