We were there to ride trails and this campsite was in a good location. We enjoyed our stay. We have a large rig and I wanted good wifi and cell reception and it was adequate. I would have loved the shade and water access on the lower level but needed the 50 amp on higher level. The workers were friendly...

This campground is centrally located with easy access to Mount Princeton, Buena Vista and Salida. They sell tickets to M.P. Hot springs for $1.00 discount and gave us information about biking areas, fishing sites. The restrooms were clean and up to date and showers were as well. We stayed in an upper area "full" site that was great. Next trip...

Just got back from 7 nights at this campsite and loved it. This is our second year and we have already made reservations for next year. We have friends from Ohio that come out every year to ride the trails and hit the hot springs at night. 6 of them stay at Mount Princeton resort, 2 stay at the campsite...

First, the good. The bathrooms are lovely; very clean and well lit, with generously sized showers. The bad is a charge of 50 cents for three minutes to use the shower. The ugly is the relatively high cost for a camp site, especially if full hookups are needed and you get stuck with a site in the middle of the...

The camp host who emptied the trash, escorted you to your site, wasn't very friendly. The prices were a little high, and very strict visitor policy. Campsites close to each other. The weekend was a bit noisy. The campground is right by a highway, so there is some traffic noise.

If this review was based solely on the campground staff, it would receive an excellent rating. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. There is one thing that can't be helped - the location close to the highway. I will say we did not notice the highway noise at night, and we were in a tent. The tent sites...

I've seen other reviews about how this is pricey. Well the bathrooms are clean/well kept, the campsites are gorgeous and well maintained.... That money is worth it and you can see where it goes here at Chalk Creek. I've also seen people say it sounded like the highway was right next to the tents. Again, not true. This campsite is...

The property was neat, but if you wanted to use the campground showers, you had to pay extra to do that. The internet was slow, even when many of the campsites were not occupied. The location made it easy to get to many of the attractions in the area. The staff were friendly. This park was our 4th choice in...

Dropped $80 per night! for 2 families to listen to 24 hr highway noise in a single tent site that felt like camping in the town park next to the freeway. Minimal creek access and lots of rules about parking, hours, creek access, etc. if you want a real camping experience, save your money and skip this place.
