We were backpacking the Colorado Trail and literally came down off the trail and walked across the street to the hotel. We originally were planning on walking down the road 7 miles to the RV resort where we had sent packages to resupply and were pleasantly surprised to see that this hotel had re-opened. We were able to get a...

We had an amazing time here! Everyone was very friendly! The room we had was on the third floor with balcony, with amazing views of the mountains and the stream that runs behind the lodge and the heart shaped pond.Yes ,it is still being renovated, but well worth the stay!

The hotel was remodeled with new carpet, beds and few other things. The building was vacant for a while before it was remodeled. It's ok place to stay. The bed was comfortable and it's quiet. It was pricy when I stayed since Salida had special event that weekend.

Over priced and pictures do not match lodge. From start to finish horrible experience. When I checked in the woman at the counter was on the phone with her boyfriend and acted like I was ruining her night. Then her mom called and she started yelling at her mom in front of me, awkward. She gave me a key and...

Hi Tiffany, First off, please allow me to apologize for your experience in August. We've had some staff turnover since then and I can promise you that our service levels have vastly improved. I'd like to discuss a special package to entice you to come back to MML. Please feel free to contact me at the Lodge to discuss. Don,...

We made reservations by phone from the road, being aware we were running out of options and daylight. It's quite a climb to this little beauty, but we made it around 5PM, just before the internet went out and they couldn't check ANYBODY in. However, we were first in line and a LONG line formed behind us. Time passed. But...

We really enjoyed staying here even though the Lodge is currently under renovation. The secluded location in the mountains is beautiful. We slept very well in our new and very comfortable beds, with new white comforters. Our room had a mountain view. We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning - also quite good, and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds...

I spent the night here while passing through on the Colorado Trail last month. The owners picked us (3 smelly backpackers) up at Monarch Pass and rode us down to the Lodge. The next.day they had a member of the staff take us back to the Trail, saving us who knows how much trouble trying to hitch. The Lodge looks...

My 3 is not because this is a bad place, it is just not a 4 or 5 star hotel. It probably was in its hey day. The hotel reminded me a bit the the Grand Budapest Hotel (movie) with-out the exquisit brilliance and elegance. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a mountainview suite. The food was...

I knew it was a work in progress, finally settled in after 2 room changes because of amenities. The hotel doesn't have beautiful mountain views. Rooms are dingy. The dressers in the rooms are full of junk. I was disappointed that booking.com listed air conditioning but there was none which made it difficult to sleep. Adjoining room and room doors...
