While we try and make a trip up to Colorado at least once every couple years. This one has been of more excitment, we got to take our grandchildren. The lodge didnt disappoint. We expected snow which still had not arrived so we spent the day traveling up the peak. Plenty of room and fireplaces completed our trip.

To say this place was great would be like saying looking out mu window was an ordinary view. The staff was amazing. The room smelled great, the bed was heavenly and the shower was delightful. The location was perfect.10 minutes to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Plus Maggie's is right down the street. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK....

Family had found this place to gather for Christmas. It is pet friendly. We were there 3 nights. We had reserved space that was pet friendly, had two beds, a fireplace and a kitchen. In 'historic adobe cabins' The cabin was tiny, maybe 3 feet of closet space ( it was open, no door) The kitchen was a bar sink....

Once again we made our yearly trip to the El Colorado Lodge. The weather was perfect and we had a lovely time. The room was spotless and the extra blankets, towels, and pillows I had requested were already in the room. The new bed spreads are very pretty. We gathered friends and family for a special visit and the staff...

Most of the hotels in Manitou Springs are Mom and Pop type motels. There was a comfort inn and a days inn, but you won't find any Hilton or Marriott properties here-but that adds to the charm of the area. When I booked, I picked a cabin, but when we got there the owner suggested we look at another to...

The staff at the El Colorado were more than accommodating! We had all but one night planned for our week stay...we were sure we wouldn't have problems finding a place. We were wrong and by chance contacted the staff for an "emergency" need. We have 2 small children and had 2 dogs with us. They said "of course" we have...

Great place at a very fair price. $99 for a room with a separate bedroom, and a door! If you have kids, you know this is a huge bonus! The room we stayed in had a double bed in the main area (along with a TV, fridge, microwave and window a/c unit) and a double bed in the separate bedroom...

Overall satisfied for a budget vacation. Pet Friendly. No real issues. Get what you pay for. Comfortable, Clean rooms, friendly staff, most of the things you need. Extended family (kids, parents, grandparents) stayed in 3 different cabins for 1 week. Each cabin had different kitchen utensils/pans so made cooking difficult. Some kitchens not very modern. Pool not heated while there....

While spending the night in this motel, my husband awoke at 2:00 a.m. itching uncontrollably all over his body, so much so that he could no longer sleep. We turned on the light to discover that he had bug bites all over his body. We then looked on the bed where he had been laying and found a small bed...

"NO SIGNS OF BED BUGS IN CABIN 11" reported by GLOBAL PEST CONTROL 6/17/14. If the guests had bed bugs, they brought them in. This was their 2nd night of lodging. Possibly enough time for the bugs to come out of their luggage. We have not had any complaints before or after these guests departed. We have an annual contract...

Smaller but clean and staff was very pleasant. Not many ammenities given here, but nice view. Absolutely LOVED the kids play area however. Gave us a great day to just swim and let the kids play basketball or ride bikes. Perfect for a family get away.
